Associate Quality Engineer - India
Responsible for helping ensure product quality, through the planning and execution of: 1) product testing, and/or 2) process/product standards compliance. This person may have direct involvement in manual or automated test efforts or in developing and managing compliance to standards for process or product quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with solutions business analyst to understand solution requirements and creates new manual and automated test cases or scripts.
- Produces or collects all required metrics, reports, and audits for relevant work products according to the process.
- When involved in testing, ensures design is traceable to requirement and achieves a high level of requirement and test execution coverage.
- Continuously improves test scripts and product coverage.
- Completes all updates to test cases, test scripts, test harness, test guidelines according to the schedule
- Executes all assigned automated testing according to the schedule and productivity targets.
- Logs defects with detailed description in defect tracking system and collaborates with the solution developer for resolution of defects.
- Escalates concerns about project/product/process quality in clear, timely, collaborative, constructive way
- Assists in root cause analysis and proposes corrective actions
- Participate in improvement initiatives as requested
Role Requirements
- Up to 2 years' relevant work experience
- ISTQB, CSTE preferred.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
Working Arrangements
- Standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements
- Primarily works in standard office environment or remotely
- May require after-hours, on-call support and/or holidays
- On-call and after hours work during peak times including end of month/quarter/year; during this time PTO is limited to meet business needs
