Duties and Responsibilities:
coordination and supervision of the entire payroll function
supervise payroll workload to meet operational requirements
ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
Monitor payroll workflow mailbox and Service Now ticketing queue
Reviews, analyzes and verifies global payroll processing for accuracy; makes necessary adjustments or corrections before final submission
Assist in the preparation of monthly metrics data as specified; payroll issues log.
Participates in payroll processing quality assurance reviews; identifies training issues and/or problem prone processes to ensure optimal efficiency and error-free operations.
Compiles and validates the accuracy of payroll report data for internal business partners, e.g., Finance, Benefits, HRIS, Stock Administration, etc. to facilitate reconciliation and reporting requirements.
prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
review and improve payroll policies and procedures
ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
assist Global Payroll Manager with research and coordinate audits from internal and external sources
supervise and resolve issues relating to payroll production
performance manage and develop payroll staff
develop and update payroll reference manuals
Develop in depth understanding of Payroll Databases to be able to create Ad-Hoc reports on demand
Provide customer service to employees: benefits and taxes as they relate to their pay, how to enter time or time off, where to locate forms and information on company’s intranet, where to send completed forms, who to contact for benefit questions and how to obtain IRS instructions on withholding issues
Maintain all levels of confidentiality especially with sensitive payroll information.
Support the processing of garnishments and wage assignment orders which include child supports, tax levies, student loans, etc.
Maintain professional payroll knowledge by attending educational workshops and/or online training; reviewing professional publications (PAYTECH magazine).
maintains payroll staff by recruiting, selection, orienting, and training employees
contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
perform system upgrades
completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
Specific Requirements:
Bachelor’ degree or higher
Certification in US Payroll (CPP/FPC) required
7-10 years of experience
No travel required
Evening shift work schedule required
