Project Manager (Project Management) - 1802

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage detailed project plans.
  • Delivers projects on schedule as specified by project plans.
  • Ensures the use of appropriate processes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manages project risks and creates a plan to mitigate them.
  • Defines a communication plan suitable to the project size and importance.
  • Ensures that the project scope is clearly defined and documented at the onset of the project.
  • Manages scope changes and change requests escalating them and analyzing the impacts on schedules, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrates project control through disciplined measurement, assessment, planning, and reporting.
  • Establishes trusted relationships with the project team, key influencers/stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Reports project status, selecting content and messages as appropriate to the audience.
  • Builds relationships across organizational functions at various levels including but not limited to decision makers.
  • Motivates the team to drive toward success and find ways to overcome difficulties.
  • Shares and encourages others to share and use the lessons learned from project.
  • Identifies, suggests, and implements improvements to processes.

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.
PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification (Preferred)
.
Required Experience/Skills

  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience (not necessarily as Project Manager).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing to work in shifts (afternoon and evening)
  • At least 2 years at a Project Management position.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse personality types.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Must be highly self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
  • Great negotiation skills with the ability to facilitate discussion, identify alternative approaches, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to identify and remove impediments.
  • Strong leadership skills and willingness to take on challenges in the role as the project manager.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams) skills are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project.
  • Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Background in health information technology, electronic medical records, or telemedicine related software.
  • Familiarity with hospital acute, ambulatory, care coordination, insurance, or accountable care.
  • Familiarity with standard health information data transfer methods, such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Understanding and ability to plan for technical dependencies related to distributed cloud computing such as VPN’s, certificates, networking, and active directory management.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Confluence and Aha!.
  • Knowledge of the Agile framework.
