We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Manager, Patching Operations, to lead and manage a team of patching engineers. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of patch deployment across our extensive infrastructure, ensuring optimal system stability, security, and compliance. You will drive process improvements, foster team development, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to maintain a robust and secure IT environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills to effectively manage a large team and complex patching operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/IT/Others
- Any relevant IT certification would be a plus.
- Proven experience in patch management for Windows systems, including Automox or SCCM deployment experience.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and patch management in the cloud environment

- 8-12 years' experience in handling and leading teams
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize patch deployments using Automox, leveraging its cloud-native architecture for efficient and scalable patching across diverse environments (including on-premises and cloud).
- Configure and maintain the Automox platform, including setting up organizational structures, user roles, and integrations with other security and IT management tools.
- Oversee the deployment of the Automox agent across all managed endpoints, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective communication with the platform.
- Develop, implement, and enforce patching policies within Automox, including defining patch approval workflows, scheduling maintenance windows, and managing reboot strategies.
- Utilize Automox policies to ensure consistent patch compliance and adherence to security baselines across the infrastructure.
- Leverage Automox Worklets to create custom scripts for pre- and post-patching tasks, software deployment, and other endpoint management automation.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards within Automox to monitor patch compliance, identify vulnerable systems, and track the effectiveness of patching efforts.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Automox agent connectivity, patch deployment failures, and policy enforcement.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of security engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Manage team schedules, workloads, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management strategy, including defining patching schedules, testing procedures, and rollback plans.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the deployment of security patches, software updates, and hotfixes across a large and diverse infrastructure of servers, workstations, and other endpoints.
- Manage and optimize the patch deployment process to minimize disruption and ensure timely updates.
- Manage patching of 3rd party products using Automox at Azure cloud environments
