Technical Support Consultant

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Financial Support Analyst. The ideal candidate will support financial operations, while leveraging strong SQL skills to extract, analyze, and troubleshoot financial data from large databases. This role requires a unique blend of financial domain knowledge and technical acumen to support internal teams and clients effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Financial Operations & Support

  • Support key finance functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, US Payroll, and Banking operations.
  • Process, review, and validate financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Work on financial claims processing and compliance-related tasks, especially in a healthcare or enterprise finance environment.

SQL & Data Analysis

  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from financial systems.
  • Identify data issues or inconsistencies and provide data-driven solutions to support business decisions.

Issue Resolution & Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot financial data discrepancies by querying backend systems and collaborating with development or IT teams.
  • Provide L1/L2 support for financial applications, including error resolution, data investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Document findings, processes, and resolutions according to team standards.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with global finance and technical teams to support process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Communicate findings and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in projects and system upgrades/enhancements related to financial systems. Strong proficiency in SQL (including joins, subqueries, stored procedures, and performance tuning).
  • Solid understanding of financial processes: AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and compliance.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday is a plus.

 

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • MCA/Bachelor/MBA Finance or master’s degree in commerce, Nursing, Pharmacy, Nursing Informatics or combination of equivalent skills and experience in information technology, clinical health care, or health care admissions and financials.

 

Mandate Experience

  • Has 2-4 years relevant working experience in US accounting/General Finance or Healthcare
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (including joins, subqueries, stored procedures, and performance tuning).
  • Relevant working experience in Accounts receivable, Account Payable, US Payroll, Fixed Assets, General accounting
  • Has proficient level software support experience demonstrating troubleshooting / analytical skills
  • Has proficient level understanding of software development life cycle

Working Arrangements:

  • Shift Timings: 6.30 PM - 3.30 AM IST (Fixed Shift)
  • Able and willing to work after-hours, on-call and/or holidays
