About the role: 

As a Technical Trainer within our Professional Services team, you will lead training programs throughout China. This role encompasses identifying training needs, designing content, and delivering customized workshops, webinars, and technical seminars to tackle customers’ PCB design challenges. You will collaborate with global teams to localize content and share regional insights, while also developing standardized training resources. This position is crucial to Altium's success and long-term growth, as it focuses on delivering engaging technical training through a variety of media formats.

 

 A day in the life of our Technical Trainer: 

  • Enterprise Training Delivery
    • Manage training needs for enterprise customers in China, including requirement analysis, curriculum design, delivery, and post-training evaluation.
    • Develop customized training programs to address customers’ challenges in PCB design and electronic system development, enhancing product proficiency.
  • Multichannel Training Execution
    • Deliver internal (employees, partners) and external (customers, developer communities) training programs across China via workshops, webinars, and technical seminars.
    • Continuously refine training content based on feedback, aligning with industry trends and product updates.
  • Global Learning Collaboration
    • Localize global training materials for the Chinese market, ensuring linguistic and technical relevance.
    • Provide regular feedback to global teams on regional training needs and market insights to optimize global curricula.
  • Training Infrastructure Development
    • Create and maintain Chinese training resources (slides, manuals, video tutorials) to build a standardized knowledge base.
    • Analyze training performance data to identify improvement opportunities and increase learner engagement.

 

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • 3+ years in technical training or EDA tool support; proficiency in Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools is a must.
  • Strong bilingual (Chinese/English) presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Proven expertise in needs analysis, curriculum design, and content creation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, video editing software).
  • High accountability and willingness to travel frequently (customer sites/partner support).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to balance priorities and drive projects efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Altium Designer Certified Instructor or equivalent EDA tool certification.
  • Hands-on experience in electronics design and hardware development workflows.
