ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a highly operational and student-facing role that requires a strong understanding of student support systems, data integrity, and safeguarding protocols. As our Student Services Agent, you will report to the Student Services Lead and play a critical role in ensuring that student data is reviewed accurately and sensitively, and that students receive timely support across housing, immigration, wellness, and financial aid.

You will be responsible for reviewing sensitive documentation, supporting allocation processes, and ensuring compliance with ALU’s safeguarding and data privacy standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is passionate about creating inclusive and responsive student experiences.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the review of student documentation across immigration, housing, wellness, and financial aid processes
  • Reviewing and validating sensitive data such as passports, police clearances, sponsorship letters, and insurance documents
  • Assisting in housing allocation processes and ensuring alignment with student needs and preferences
  • Identifying students who have declared disabilities and coordinating follow-up with the Wellness team for inclusive support
  • Ensuring safeguarding protocols are upheld in all student interactions and data handling
  • Collaborating with Admissions and Recruitment teams to support registration and admissions processes
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in Salesforce and other student systems
  • Supporting the Student Services Lead in implementing student support initiatives and process improvements
  • Providing timely and empathetic communication to students regarding their documentation status and support options

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in student services, data management, or administrative support
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Empathy and professionalism in student interactions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with safeguarding principles and student support frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to ALU’s mission and values

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Technical Skill

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems is highly desired
  • Proficiency with G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) is required
  • Familiarity with data privacy protocols and safeguarding documentation is a plus
