Program Overview

The Entrepreneurial Leaders’ Action Lab (E‑LAB) is a space for students to explore and engage with complex challenges while developing their entrepreneurial identity. E‑LAB serves as the engine of ALU’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and is supported by community programming streams. E‑LAB forms one‑third of an integrated, synchronous, in‑person, non‑credit‑bearing learning experience that synthesizes Missions: Radical Thinking, Introduction to Global Challenges and Opportunities, and Entrepreneurial Literacy, all centered around complex, real‑world design challenges.

Position Summary

The E‑Lab Adjunct Faculty member supports the delivery of the E‑LAB program through facilitation, student mentorship, and program coordination. This is a part‑time, 20 hours per week, instructional role focused on experiential learning, coaching student teams, and ensuring a high‑quality learning experience aligned with E‑LAB’s mission and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate E‑LAB classes and experiential learning in person sessions.
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with individuals and teams, providing insight, feedback, and project support.
  • Implement the E‑LAB curriculum in collaboration with the E-Lab Team. 
  • Support individual and team needs as they arise, including guidance on collaboration and basic conflict resolution.
  • Ensure strong student engagement, participation, and program completion in your tenure..
  • Submit any required student evaluations or assessments in a timely manner.
  • Perform other reasonable duties aligned with the role as assigned by the team manager.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Education, Innovation, or a related field.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Experience facilitating classes, workshops, or programs, preferably in an entrepreneurial, innovation, in a higher‑education context.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or advising students or early‑stage ventures. 
  • Prior experience coordinating programs, projects, or events.
  • Founding or co‑founding a venture (clearly reflected on the résumé) is strongly preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support diverse student teams.
  • Effective problem‑solving and conflict‑management skills within group settings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary academic and administrative team.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to provide timely feedback and meet instructional deadlines.
