ABOUT THE TEAM
The Enrolment Management team is responsible for one of the most critical handoffs in a student's journey — from admitted applicant to enrolled ALU student. We are a process-driven, student-centred, and data-savvy team that works at the intersection of admissions, operations, and student experience. We care deeply about removing barriers, creating seamless transitions, and making every new student feel genuinely welcomed and prepared before they even arrive.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Enrolment Manager is responsible for driving successful student matriculation and enrolment across the university's programmes. Working at the critical intersection between admissions and student onboarding, this role ensures that admitted students complete enrolment, are fully prepared for the start of their studies, and transition smoothly into university life. Reporting to the VP of Enrolment, the Enrolment Manager plays a key role in maximising yield from admitted applicants and supporting institutional enrolment targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the matriculation and enrolment process for all admitted students, ensuring a seamless, timely, and positive experience from offer acceptance through to enrolment confirmation.
- Develop and implement strategic yield initiatives to convert admitted applicants into enrolled students, working collaboratively with the Admissions Director to use data-driven approaches to target interventions effectively.
- Design and oversee pre-enrolment communication and engagement programmes, including welcome campaigns, orientation preparation, and personalised outreach to admitted students.
- Immigration support — guidance on visa applications, documentation, and compliance for international students
- Flight bookings — managing travel logistics aligned with onboarding timelines
- Collaborate closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Registrar to ensure smooth handoffs and resolve barriers to enrolment such as outstanding documentation, fee deposits, or financial aid queries.
- Monitor enrolment data and pipeline metrics in real time, identifying at-risk students and implementing timely interventions to prevent drop-off.
- Manage the enrolment system and SIS workflows, ensuring data accuracy, process integrity, and compliance with institutional requirements.
- Coordinate with academic departments, student services, IT, accommodation, and other stakeholders to ensure readiness for new student arrivals.
- Produce regular enrolment reports and forecasts for senior leadership, including yield analysis, gap-to-target assessments, and cohort profiling.
- Develop and maintain enrolment policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional governance.
- Identify and implement process improvements and technology enhancements to increase enrollment efficiency and student experience.
- Manage and develop the enrolment team, building capability and maintaining high service standards during peak enrolment periods.
Qualifications & Experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience (typically 5+ years) in enrolment management, admissions operations, or student services within a higher education institution.
- Strong understanding of the student lifecycle from admissions through matriculation and early retention.
- Experience with student information systems and CRM platforms (e.g. Banner, Slate, or equivalent).
- Proven project management skills — able to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder processes within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or related field preferred.
