About the Role

Alumni Ventures (AV) is pioneering the use of AI Pods — compact, high-velocity teams where an executive, cutting-edge technology, and an AI-native operator collaborate to produce outsized results. As an AI Special Assistant to the Chief People Officer (CPO), you’ll be both a strategic partner and a technical builder — driving the adoption of AI tools and automation that make our people team smarter, faster, and more impactful.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of people operations, technology, and organizational design. You’ll help the CPO translate bold ideas into scalable solutions that improve how we attract, develop, and engage talent, while equipping the team with the tools and insights to operate at a higher level.

What You’ll Do

AI-Powered People Operations

  • Partner with the CPO, People & Culture and Talent Acquisition team to embed AI into core People workflows — from recruiting and onboarding to performance management and employee engagement.
  • Build and maintain role-specific prompt libraries, templates, and toolkits that make AI a daily enabler across the People function.
  • Pilot and evaluate emerging AI solutions (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and develop use cases tailored to HR needs.

Systems, Tools & Automation

  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in People workflows (e.g., recruiting coordination, feedback cycles, compliance tracking) and design automated solutions using Python, Zapier, or low-code platforms.
  • Create scalable playbooks, forms, and dashboards to improve process consistency and reduce manual effort.
  • Serve as a connector between People Operations and AV’s broader AI initiatives, ensuring alignment and knowledge sharing.

People Analytics & Insights

  • Build dashboards and visualizations to track organizational health — including engagement, hiring effectiveness, retention, and DEI metrics.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform People strategy and decision-making.
  • Conduct benchmarking and research to identify trends and surface opportunities in org design and talent management.

AI Projects & Implementation

  • Lead or coordinate AI-focused projects within People Operations — from piloting new tools to rolling out automation across teams.
  • Develop lightweight project plans, align stakeholders, and track progress to ensure initiatives deliver measurable impact.
  • Support the CPO in scoping and prioritizing AI initiatives, balancing quick wins with long-term transformation.

Learning & Development (AI Enablement)

  • Design and deliver training experiences that build AI fluency across the People team and broader organization.
  • Capture and package best practices into reusable guides, short videos, and templates that promote sustainable learning.
  • Support new hires and teams as they adapt to AI tools, embedding AI onboarding into the broader employee learning journey.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Data Science, HR Tech, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python preferred) and familiarity with APIs and automation platforms.
  • Experience with Gen-AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) and fluency in prompt design and deployment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — able to simplify the complex and craft crisp, professional outputs.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action — skilled at testing and refining new ideas, iterating quickly, and scaling what works.

Our benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match, HSA, FSA, Life Insurance, Pet Insurance, Flexible PTO, and Parental Leave as well as career development.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
