About Alumni Ventures

Alumni Ventures is one of the world’s most active venture capital platforms, with $1.4B+ in assets raised and investments in 1,600+ companies. Our network of 850,000+ members and 40+ dedicated investors connects accredited individuals to high-quality venture deals—typically reserved for institutions—through our alumni-driven communities and diversified co-investment strategy. With offices in Boston, New York, Chicago, Menlo Park, Manchester, NH, London and Tokyo we’re rapidly growing and committed to fueling entrepreneurial success while developing the next generation of VC professionals.

We believe our best work happens when we’re together. AV operates as a 5-day-a-week, in-office culture because collaboration, mentorship, and shared momentum matter.

About the Role

Alumni Ventures’ marketing team is focused on converting prospective retail investors into customers across our venture capital funds and deal syndicates. Lifecycle nurture across email, SMS, web, and video is a pivotal part of that work, alongside webinars, landing pages, and other digital channels.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Nurture & Web, the Jr. Marketing Specialist will help turn that strategy into consistent, high-quality execution. You’ll be a hands-on builder and content steward, initially focused on building and QAing HubSpot emails, auditing our growing library of automated nurture content, and making sure updates are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on time.

This is an opportunity to build a strong foundation in lifecycle and digital marketing while contributing directly to AV’s investor conversion funnel. As you develop fluency in our tools, content, and audiences, you’ll expand beyond email into areas including web, SMS, video, analytics, and SEO and become an increasingly cross-channel contributor to our revenue engine.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and QA HubSpot emails to specification, ensuring they meet AV’s brand, copy, formatting, and quality standards.
  • Develop a strong understanding of AV’s email library, including the purpose, audience, content, triggers, and role each email plays in the prospect and investor journey.
  • Continuously audit and proof automated nurture emails for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Draft and refine email content in partnership with assigned stakeholders and route work through Wrike or similar project management tools for review and approval.
  • Maintain a calendar of scheduled email updates and deliver changes accurately and on time.
  • Respond quickly to ad hoc changes needed across live automated emails while maintaining a high bar for quality.
  • Learn and apply established build patterns so execution remains consistent and scalable as marketing volume grows.
  • Over time, expand your contributions into email analytics, website content and SEO, SMS sends in Salesmessage, and video assets in Vidyard.
  • As your fluency grows, partner more directly with writers and designers on cross-channel content and help identify upstream data-quality issues that affect execution.

Who You Are

  • You’re early in your marketing career, with 0–2 years of experience in marketing operations, email marketing, or a related coordinator or associate role; strong internship experience is welcome.
  • You have strong attention to detail and a track record of catching errors before work goes live.
  • You’re comfortable learning new technology quickly. Experience with HubSpot, WordPress, Salesmessage, Vidyard, Wrike, or comparable email, CMS, SMS, video, and project management platforms is helpful but not required across every tool.
  • You’re a fast learner who can pick up new marketing concepts—including email analytics and SEO—and put them into practice.
  • You communicate clearly in writing and can effectively incorporate direction and feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • You’re comfortable working across email, web, SMS, and video rather than limiting yourself to a single marketing discipline.
  • You’re AI-forward and comfortable working with different AI models and tools, using them alongside your own judgment to make builds, audits, and content work faster and more effective.
  • Exposure to financial services, investing, or another regulated or compliance-reviewed marketing environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace or Canva is also a plus.

A Note to Candidates

We recognize that talent comes from many backgrounds. If you're excited about this opportunity and believe you'd be successful in the role, we encourage you to apply—even if your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification listed above.
