Alumni Relationship Manager: Casablanca

We’re looking for a Relationship Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for our alumni community, while playing a key role in identifying success stories, activating alumni engagement, and strengthening the overall impact of the ALX ecosystem.

Role Summary
As a Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for alumni in Morocco, ensuring they feel supported, heard, and connected throughout their professional journey.
Beyond maintaining relationships, this role plays a critical part in identifying, capturing, and elevating alumni success stories, helping showcase the real impact of ALX programs.
You will engage regularly with alumni through calls and interactions, not only to support them, but to understand their journeys, identify opportunities, and activate them as contributors to the broader ALX community.
This role sits at the intersection of community engagement, impact storytelling, and alumni activation, requiring both empathy and a strong ability to translate insights into meaningful initiatives.
Specific Responsibilities
Alumni Relationship Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for alumni in your assigned region
- Conduct regular one-on-one calls and group interactions with alumni
- Understand alumni journeys, challenges, and career progress
- Provide guidance, support, and relevant opportunities
Impact Story Identification & Amplification
- Identify high-impact alumni stories through conversations and interactions
- Capture key insights that reflect the value and impact of ALX programs
- Flag relevant profiles and stories to internal teams (Marketing, Community, etc.)
- Contribute to building a pipeline of impactful alumni stories
- Ensure that alumni journeys are recognized and leveraged to inspire future learners
Alumni Activation & Community Contribution
- Encourage alumni to contribute to the community (events, talks, mentorship, initiatives)
- Identify and engage high-potential alumni who can play an active role in the ecosystem
- Support the development of alumni-led initiatives
- Facilitate connections between alumni and current learners
Insights, Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Collect structured feedback from alumni interactions
- Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Share insights with internal teams to improve programs and learner experience
- Contribute to continuous improvement of alumni engagement strategies
CRM & Data Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of alumni interactions
- Track career progress, engagement levels, and key updates
- Ensure high-quality data management within CRM systems
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Community, Marketing, and Program teams
- Support initiatives related to engagement, storytelling, and activation
- Contribute to a consistent and high-quality alumni experience
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in community engagement, communications, education, or a related field
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and engage diverse audiences
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with consistency and attention to detail
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) and digital communication platforms (WhatsApp, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
- Ability to gather insights from conversations, identify patterns, and translate qualitative feedback into actionable recommendations
- Strong discipline in follow-up and ability to maintain consistent engagement over time
- Ability to support alumni in their employability journey (job-readiness, re-engagement, opportunity identification)
- Ability to engage effectively across diverse cultural contexts and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a genuine interest in education, employability, and community development

Given the nature of the role, the position is primarily remote. However, the selected candidate is expected to be regularly present at the City Hub when required.
This includes participating in community events, engaging with alumni in person, and supporting on-the-ground initiatives.
Success in this role requires strong responsiveness, consistency in engagement, and the ability to maintain high-quality relationships both remotely and in person.
