Public Relations (PR) Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Public Relations (PR) Manager to lead and execute communications initiatives that strengthen the company’s reputation, increase visibility, and support key business objectives.
The PR Manager will be responsible for developing compelling corporate narratives, managing media relations, supporting executive communications, and coordinating communications around company announcements, partnerships, product launches, events, and other strategic milestones. This role requires strong writing skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute PR and communications strategies aligned with company priorities and business objectives.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate press releases, media statements, executive commentary, talking points, FAQs, briefing materials, and other external communications.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, analysts, and other relevant media contacts.
- Proactively identify media opportunities and develop compelling story angles that strengthen company and executive visibility.
- Manage media outreach, interview coordination, press inquiries, and follow-up.
- Support communications surrounding product launches, partnerships, customer announcements, corporate milestones, industry events, and other major initiatives.
- Partner with executives to develop speeches, keynotes, interview preparation, quotes, and thought-leadership content.
- Work closely with marketing, social media, business development, legal, investor relations, and other internal teams to ensure messaging is accurate, consistent, and appropriately positioned.
- Develop and maintain key messaging, corporate narratives, company background materials, executive bios, media kits, and other communications assets.
- Support corporate social media and digital communications by translating company developments into clear, engaging content for relevant audiences.
- Monitor media coverage, industry developments, competitor communications, and emerging narratives that may affect the company.
- Track PR performance, media coverage, share of voice, and other communications KPIs and provide regular reporting.
- Assist with issues management and time-sensitive communications, ensuring responses are coordinated, accurate, and appropriately reviewed.
- Manage relationships with external PR agencies, wire services, vendors, and communications partners as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, or a related communications role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience producing executive-level and external-facing content.
- Strong understanding of media relations and experience working directly with journalists and publications.
- Ability to translate complex business, technology, or financial information into clear and compelling narratives.
- Strong project-management skills and ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong judgment when handling confidential, sensitive, or market-moving information.
- Experience collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and rapidly evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technology, AI, robotics, automotive, mobility, or other innovation-driven industries.
- Experience supporting public-company communications and working alongside investor relations and legal teams.
- Existing relationships with business, technology, financial, or industry media.
- Experience supporting major corporate announcements, executive thought leadership, conferences, and live events.
- Familiarity with media monitoring, PR analytics, and communications measurement platforms.
