Practice Operations Manager
WHO WE ARE
Amae Health is a Series B, venture-backed Public Benefit Corporation that delivers specialty outpatient care for people with severe mental illness. We build and operate high-acuity, in-person clinics nationally.
Our model integrates psychiatry, therapy, primary care, dietitians, and community support under one roof. It has proven itself as the most effective in the country, which is why we collaborate with leading health systems including NewYork-Presbyterian, Cedars-Sinai, Mass General Brigham, Novant Health, and CommonSpirit to extend our care to where it’s needed most.
But what makes us fundamentally different is that we are also building the science and technology layer that this field has never had. We are developing proprietary clinical protocols, designing novel measurement science, and engineering an AI data science platform purpose-built for the complexity of severe mental illness. Every patient interaction generates data that feeds back into our protocols, our technology, and our understanding of what actually works.
We reduce hospitalizations. We improve stability. We keep people alive and in their communities. We help our members gain purpose and meaning.

Base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. These factors include, but are not limited to, job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications, degrees, licensures, and specific work location.
Our teams work cross-functionally because the work demands it. The psychiatrist who sees patients in the morning informs the product roadmap in the afternoon. The AI engineers who develop our technology understand the clinical complexity it needs to solve. The scientist pushing frontier research in SMI outcomes sits next to the operator who runs the clinic it measures.
Every function (finance, product, people, growth, technology) is in direct service of one thing: better outcomes for the people we serve. Everyone is on the front line, working directly alongside our clinical teams and our members.
What We're Building:
Most healthcare companies ask you to optimize an existing system. We’re asking you to build things that have never existed.
- A national care delivery model engineered from the ground up for the highest-acuity patients in behavioral health.
- Precision medicine for SMI: collecting multimodal data across clinical, behavioral, and social dimensions to develop individualized treatment approaches for a population that has never had them.
- A clinical operating system that synthesizes longitudinal data, real-time patient signals, and purpose-built clinical tools into a single decision layer. Nothing like it exists today.
- Frontier science and measurement: defining and validating the outcomes frameworks that this field has never had. Hospitalizations avoided, days stable, functional improvement, and more. This is not incremental research. This is building the scientific foundation for an entire category of care.
- A partnership model with the country’s leading health systems that proves coordinated SMI care can work at scale.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary reflecting role, level, and geography. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Parental leave and programs built around well-being. We’ll share specifics during the interview process.
If you want to practice at the top of your license, learn from the best in academic medicine, contribute to research that is defining a new field, and do it all inside a team that was actually built for this work, we’d like to talk.
WHAT WE VALUE
We center care in all we do. Empathy is not a brand value. It’s how we make clinical decisions, build products, and treat each other.
We challenge convention. The existing system is the problem. We question it, we test alternatives, and we move with urgency when something works.
We take the work seriously, not ourselves. High standards and humanity are not in tension. We hold a hard bar for quality while leaving room for humor and levity.
Your job isn’t done until the job is done. We close gaps, we follow through, and we don’t hide behind titles or org charts.
We win together and fail together. We own outcomes as a team. We learn fast. We don’t do blame.
We hustle with humility. Speed matters. So does integrity. We assume best intent and stay grounded in the mission.Create a Job Alert
