Job Summary
AMAROK’s Sales Operations and Enablement team is dedicated to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales organization. The Sales Territory Optimization Analyst owns the integrity, accuracy, and usability of Total Addressable Market (TAM) data. This role supports the sales team by maintaining a centralized, trustworthy TAM database, providing strategic insights on geographical territories, and delivering analysis that helps drive sales productivity, optimize coverage, and accelerate revenue growth.
The goals of the Sales Territory Optimization Analyst are to drive sales efficiency through data-backed territory design, maintain a reliable and scalable TAM database to support sales execution, deliver visual insights that guide market and territory planning, and serve as the go-to expert on geographic and account segmentation strategies.
Regular attendance at our Columbia, SC corporate office is required for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Own and manage the Total Addressable Market (TAM) database, ensuring it is accurate, current, and accessible for use by the sales team.
- Leverage data visualization to tell compelling stories that highlight market opportunities, territory gaps, and performance trends, enabling faster, more confident data driven decision-making by sales leadership to lead to optimal sales performance
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on territory structure, enterprise market segmentation, and geographic sales coverage, serving as the go-to resource for questions related to market potential and alignment strategy.
- Identify and support the creation of new sales portfolios or markets through analysis, with a focus on enabling long-term, profitable growth.
- Support the annual strategic planning process, including quota setting, sales assignment modeling, and territory design recommendations.
- Develop clear, visual territory and market insights through mapping, dashboards, and presentations to assist sales leadership in decision-making.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests and develop timely, accurate reports and insights for Sales Operations and Sales Leadership.
- Monitor rep usage and effectiveness of TAM and territory data tools; make recommendations to improve usability and adoption.
- Conduct research using external datasets (e.g., census, industry, or economic data) to enrich TAM understanding and expand market visibility.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Geography, or a related field.
- Two to four years of experience in a business analyst, sales operations analyst, or business intelligence role, preferably within a sales-driven organization.
- Demonstrated experience in territory planning, sales coverage modeling, market segmentation, or working with Total Addressable Market (TAM) data.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling), with working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with territory management tools such as AlignMix required; experience with or exposure to Salesforce Enterprise Territory Management (ETM) is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably Salesforce, including data extraction and reporting.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights, visuals, and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Salesforce Admin Certification preferred

Annual Compensation Range: $70,000 – $85,000. Compensation is determined based on competitive market data, experience, skillset and geographical location.
