Job Description:
The HR Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department across all DMG locations. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional onboarding experience, coordinating benefits administration in compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing general administrative support. The HR Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, maintains accurate records, and ensures data integrity within HR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage new hire onboarding within the HRIS, ensuring all documentation, systems access, and equipment (computers, accessories, phones) are prepared in advance.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process all documentation in the HRIS and with third-party vendors to ensure accurate payroll deductions and compliance.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general processes in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete and maintain Form I-9 documentation for all new hires in compliance with federal regulations.
- Perform regular audits of employee files, benefits records, and other HR programs; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist with processing employee terminations, including documentation, exit logistics, and systems updates.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and HR-related events as requested by the HR Manager.
- Maintain organized digital and physical personnel records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Support general clerical duties including scanning, filing, mailing, and processing HR-related correspondence.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of human resources experience, preferably in onboarding, benefits administration, or employee support.
- Working knowledge of HR systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ACA, and EEO guidelines.
- Familiarity with Canadian labor laws and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on employee service and relationship-building.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
