Role: Controls Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven HVAC Controls Manager to lead our sales team, drive business development, and expand our market share in the HVAC controls industry. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, managing client relationships, and guiding the sales team to achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, sales expertise, and technical knowledge to promote our innovative HVAC control solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the HVAC controls market.
- Create tailored sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Work closely with existing sales staff and other sectors of the business to drive opportunities and close sales
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment to drive sales success.
Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals and secure new business.
Client & Project Management:
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage complex sales cycles from lead generation to contract negotiation and project handover.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities and forecast sales performance.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- HVAC, BAS, or Controls certifications are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC controls sales, with 2 years in a managerial role.
- Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and achieving business growth.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, sales, and business development skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC controls and building automation systems.
- Proficiency in time management and labor allocation software is a plus
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Estimated Salary: $115,000 - $130,000, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
