Role: Humidifier Specialist
You will play a crucial role as part of the engineering sales team helping to promote the APA brand. This is an exciting time at APA with explosive growth and representation of the best products in the industry. We are looking for results-oriented team members who take pride in the products and services they can offer to their customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth of the Condair humidifier product line.
- Assume responsibility as the primary technical expert for all Condair products and services offered by APA.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both commercial and residential mechanical engineers and contractors that influence humidifier specifications and purchases.
- Conduct internal technical training for new product launches, or newly hired employees.
- Create and conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Provide technical expertise during sales and engineering calls.
- Utilize manufacturer tools and software.
- Work closely with engineers and sales team members during technical submittal reviews.
- Manage technical humidifier questions to ensure accuracy and consistency with users or installers.
- Responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, pricing, quoting and generating detailed technical documentation for humidifiers.
- Work directly with the manufacturer as required to obtain factory quotes and complete all bid requirements.
- Learn and develop knowledge of other APA products.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations based on client needs and system specifications for APA's custom designed products/systems.
- Work with the marketing team to develop strategies for business growth.
- Identify and qualify sales leads, moving them through the sales process to closing.
- Visit job sites with sales team and/or clients as required to assess field conditions, or issues, and develop action plan to remedy.
- Periodic travel to attend factory training/national sales meetings.
- Participate in company sales meetings.
- Support database management and pipeline as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in the HVAC Industry.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and detail orientated.
Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000/year, plus bonus based on sales performance. Salary is flexible based on experience and skills.
Locations:
Ability to work out of our MA offices in Canton or Newburyport. Occasional work-from-home option is available.
