Role: Outside Sales Engineer

As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving business growth and building strong relationships with customers, contractors, and engineering firms. Utilizing your HVAC product knowledge and applications expertise, you will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage sales processes, and ensure quality customer support. This position plays a critical role in achieving annual sales targets while contributing to the long-term development of the region’s business.

Responsibilities:

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, contractors, and end-users.

· Identify and develop opportunities with new and existing customers using HVAC product knowledge and applications expertise.

· Drive annual sales growth and secure long-term business opportunities.

· Provide technical expertise on system design, product selection, and specification writing.

· Prepare detailed sales proposals, estimates, and take-offs tailored to customer needs.

· Manage projects from the design phase through commissioning, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

· Facilitate smooth communication and workflow between branch office staff, customers, and partners.

· Process and analyze feasibility assessments and bid documents for potential projects.

· Maintain and expand your technical product knowledge to better serve customer needs.

· Deliver high standards of customer support throughout the sales cycle and beyond.

Desired Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline

· Three years of experience direct selling, marketing, or designing HVAC products for mechanical contractors or design engineers.

· Three years of business development and relationship management within the HVAC industry.

· Three years’ experience in Sales and marketing, with the ability to strategically present HVAC equipment solutions to mechanical contractors and engineers, including mentoring quotations and presenting proposals.

· Three years’ technical experience in pre-sale and post-sale support for HVAC equipment.

· Three years’ experience utilizing customer relationship management skills, including anticipating and meeting customer needs effectively.

· Three years of experience using organizational and communication skills to manage jobs at various stages of development.

· Three years’ experience creatively and proactively utilizing problem-solving abilities to address application issues, delivery delays, billing discrepancies, and job site concerns.

· Five years’ experience and proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications for selection, pricing, quoting, submittals, ordering, expediting, and billing for HVAC projects, as well as effective communication with factories and customers.

Compensation: 100% Commission Structure with Guaranteed Monthly Draw (draw amount depending on experience)
