Project Engineer (Building Automation)- BSS

 Job Title: Project Engineer (Building Automation)

Summary: The Project Engineer is to plan, design, program, install and manage building automation projects. To understand, meet, and exceed our customer expectations so that Building Systems & Services, Inc. is their preferred supplier for our product and services. This person would be reporting to the Building Automation Manager.

Responsibilities (Condensed):

  • Design building automation systems, including applications, layouts, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
  • Prepare submittal packages using AutoCAD and standard office software.
  • Maintain clear and accurate project correspondence and documentation.
  • Program controllers for building automation systems based on plans, specifications, and sequences of operation.
  • Test and verify software to ensure full compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop end-user graphical interfaces for building automation systems.
  • Produce and manage project plans, schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project teams; attend job meetings and resolve issues proactively.
  • Manage materials, subcontractors, change orders, and project pricing as required.
  • Support system installation, commissioning, network configuration, and front-end setup.
  • Provide customer service, technical support, system upgrades, documentation, training, and project closeout.
  • Maintain programming backups, develop standards, stay current on product developments, and support service teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • HVAC Systems Knowledge                                                                       
  • Knowledge of computer networking                                                                                                               
  • Neatness, professional appearance and presentation.                                                             
  • Ability to work in an open and collaborative team environment

Education/Experience:

  • Associates of Engineering Degree, related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Compensation:  Base on experience plus benefits
