Role Overview:
We are offering a Master’s student internship in the area of Foundation IP characterization, where the intern will work on validating, analyzing, and benchmarking digital standard cells, I/Os, and embedded memory IPs. This role is ideal for students interested in bridging circuit design and silicon implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform circuit-level simulation and characterization of foundation IPs (standard cells, memories, I/O libraries).
- Develop and automate FIP characterization flows
- Support corner case analysis across process, voltage, and temperature variations.
- Validate IP deliverables against industry-standard EDA tools and design flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, CAD, product engineering) to ensure IP quality and robustness.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related fields.
- Strong background in FinFET circuit design, transistor-level analysis, and digital standard cell operation.
- Experience with SPICE and Monte Carlo simulations, scripting (Python/Perl/TCL), and EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Liberate).
- Familiarity with device characterization methodologies and statistical variations.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of library characterization standards (Liberty, LEF/DEF, Verilog models).
- Exposure to silicon validation and correlation workflows.
- Project or research experience in standard cell or memory characterization.
