Supply Chain Manager
Amca designs and manufactures a rapidly growing set of critical components and subsystems for aerospace and defense in avionics, fluid control systems, power electronics, complex hardware, and much more. We’re building the most comprehensive set of capabilities in the entire industry, enabling us to deliver solutions for every supply constraint across the industrial base.
Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for executing planning and procurement operations that support product development at the fastest pace in the industry. You will lead the strategic sourcing of high-complexity aerospace components, build scalable supply chain workflows from the ground up, and ensure rapid turnarounds for our R&D and manufacturing teams. We are looking for a high-agency professional who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic environment and possesses the technical acumen to work directly with engineering and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
-
Function as the extreme owner for sourcing and procurement: identify suppliers, manage quotes, negotiate terms, place orders, and ensure the on-time delivery of parts and materials for R&D and production programs
-
Manage the schedule, costs, expenses, and budgets of various new products, subsidiary operations and other business needs
-
Build and maintain a supplier network capable of supporting both prototype and production-scale needs across various mechanical, electrical, and specialty aerospace components
-
Partner closely with engineering teams to create manufacturable designs and sourcing strategies, using technical requirements, drawings, and bills-of-materials (BOMs) as needed
-
Design and implement Supply Chain workflows, processes, and systems that enable all teams to move swiftly from request to receipt
-
Lead initiatives that accelerate schedule, improve costs, and reduce risk across Amca and its subsidiaries
-
Own the ongoing improvement of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools, ensuring that the systems we use are practical, efficient, and powerful
-
Track and report core Supply Chain metrics — lead times, vendor performance, cost trends, late deliveries — to create visibility and influence key business decisions
-
Support business and engineering teams with should-cost analysis and pricing decisions as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
-
2+ years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Strong understanding of core Supply Chain workflows
Preferred Skills and Experience:
-
Technical degree or equivalent hands-on technical fluency (engineering, materials science, or related field)
-
5+ years of professional Supply Chain experience, ideally in aerospace or defense manufacturing
-
Demonstrated experience creating or significantly improving Supply Chain workflows
-
Familiarity with ERP systems and MRP systems; experience building or maturing processes around them is a plus
-
Ability to read engineering drawings and engage credibly with engineering teams on technical requirements
-
Experience in a manufacturing of production environment
Additional Requirements:
