Purpose of the Position:
The Senior Educational Technology Support Technician is responsible as team-lead for the education technology support team. With guidance from the Education Technology Manager, they will oversee implementation of the innovative instructional materials and courses for both online and in-person learning environments. They assist and support instructors and staff across campuses, ensuring courses are prepared for their go-live dates and maintained throughout the term. They provide training on e-learning tools, including the LMS, and oversee reporting and information gathering from e-learning systems. This role requires an understanding of instructional design principles, educational technologies, and best practices in hybrid learning to ensure students receive the best possible education and are well-prepared for their careers.
What you’ll do:
- Collectively and creatively support various distance education projects.
- Assist in managing the editing, adding, deleting, and preparation of course content for multiple courses to ensure readiness for each start date.
- Assist with designing and developing engaging and effective instructional materials for both online and in-person learning environments.
- Implement the latest educational technologies and tools to enhance the learning experience.
- Conduct needs assessments to inform the design and development of instructional materials.
- Troubleshoot technical and end-user issues within the LMS (Canvas) and other e-learning tools.
- Communicate updates and changes to the field as needed.
- Create, review, and update all training materials deployed to end users.
- Recommend training solutions based on personal experience and user feedback.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of reports on e-learning software.
- Prepare education compliance reports as needed.
- Test new online learning products and software, providing recommendations.
- Research, test, and provide technical and innovative technology solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve course content and delivery methods based on feedback and learning outcomes.
- Provide training and support to faculty on best practices in instructional design and the use of educational technologies.
- Ensure all instructional materials are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
- Develop assessments and evaluation tools to measure student learning and course effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience in instructional design or education, preferably for a higher educational hybrid institution.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools and other educational technologies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support of a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and carefully follows all applicable federal and state laws and rules, compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel to onsite campus locations.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, ability to be on camera, and ability to access a high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation Range
$65,000 - $73,000 USD
