Regional Program Director, Pharmacy Technician

Purpose of the Position:
The Regional Program Director is charged with coordinating and ensuring the smooth operation of the assigned program(s) and assigned campuses. The Regional Program Director identifies and oversees strategy and tactics to support high-quality student outcomes, including student retention and placement rates that meet or exceed accreditation standards, and appropriate student satisfaction rates within each program and/or campus assigned. In addition, the Regional Program Director is responsible for making recommendations to the Vice President of Education in the areas of planning, staffing, scheduling, supervising, curriculum improvement, and professional development for the assigned program(s). If an assigned program has a clinical/externship component, it is the responsibility of the Regional Program Director to identify and procure sufficient clinical/externship sites to meet the needs of the student population and monitor and maintain the student experience and records throughout the clinical portion of the program.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Determine program staff needs.
  • Assist in the interviewing and selection process for new team members in the designated program(s).
  • Orient new departmental faculty members and train in program and techniques.
  • Oversee the performance and competency management of departmental faculty and staff.
  • Cultivate and maintain the professional development activities for each member of the assigned program’s instructional team, including Lead Instructors, and submit the development plans to the Vice President of Education.
  • Perform the duties required of an Instructor including instructing classes as needed, conducting make-up sessions, and/or acting as a substitute when needed.
  • Propose a schedule of teaching assignments for courses being offered for each campus in collaboration with the Director(s) of Education.
  • Maintain current syllabi and course material for all courses.
  • Supervise and evaluate departmental faculty members as needed.
  • Supervise the planning, use, maintenance, and inventory of facilities and material assigned to the program.
  • Schedule and conduct departmental meetings at each campus.
  • Communicate with departmental faculty to obtain input and recommendations for the improvement of the program.
  • Advise students and faculty members as needed to ensure successful operation of the program.
  • Supervise and administer student retention efforts for the program to ensure retention meets or exceeds accreditation standards at each assigned campus.
  • Participate in the School Advisory Board at each assigned campus and assist in orchestration of Advisory Board and Curriculum Review Committee meetings as they relate to the assigned program(s).
  • Promote and ensure students are prepared to take the appropriate certification examinations.
  • Procure clinical sites if an assigned program has a clinical/externship component.
  • Monitor and maintain all student records and experiences while on clinical/externship portion of the program if there is one.
  • Ensure all timesheets for any clinical/externship component of the program are properly recorded and sent to the Corporate Registrar Department in a timely fashion.
  • Confirm all competencies necessary to graduate are offered while students are on the clinical/externship component of their program if there is one.
  • Co-facilitate periodic programmatic faculty meetings with Director of Education at each assigned campus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in a field related to Pharmacy Technician.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician certification or Pharmacist license.
  • At least 3 years of full time experience a pharmacy setting.
  • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to support of a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior teaching experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.

 

Compliance: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state laws and rules, compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and, and internal policies and procedures.  
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department. 

 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This is a full-time hybrid position with frequent travel to onsite campus locations.
  • Home office set up, quiet place to work, ability to be on camera, ability to be on camera, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection. 
  • May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request. 
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed. 

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation Range

$85,000 - $95,000 USD
