Relationship Development Representative

Purpose of the Position:

The Relationship Development Representative plays a crucial role in American Institute by identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and driving enrollment growth. This position is dedicated to expanding our reach within the community, enhancing our visibility, and securing resources that support our educational programs.

 

What You’ll Do:

  1. Prospect and Generate Leads: Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities. Establish relationships through in person visits and presentations with healthcare organizations, community leaders and other stakeholders to create opportunities for collaboration and support.
  2. Develop and Convert Opportunities: Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential partners and referral sources; negotiate agreements that support program enrollment.
  3. Drive Enrollment Growth: Develop and implement strategies to attract prospective students, including outreach initiatives, marketing campaigns, and community engagement activities.
  4. Foster Community Relationships: Engage with local communities to enhance the school's visibility and reputation, and to build a network of supporters and advocates.
  5. Provide Market Feedback: Share insights into competitor activities, market trends and community needs to inform strategy and improve outreach efforts.
  6. Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with admissions, marketing, and academic teams to align efforts and ensure a cohesive approach to partnership development.
  7. Track and Report Progress: Maintain records of outreach activities and partnership metrics and provide regular reports to leadership.
  8. Represent the School: Attend events, conferences, and meetings to promote the school’s mission and programs.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in business development, career services, employment services, or related role, preferably in an allied health setting.
  • Skills – communication/interpersonal skills, relationship building/rapport, and time management.
  • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
  • Valid driver's license.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Any advanced degree or equivalent experience and/or strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales, staffing, or business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Experience in employment staffing, career services, out-placement services and/or business development.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Other skills or abilities – leadership, professional sales, business development, customer service, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

 

Compliance: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follow all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.  
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department. 

 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This is a full-time remote position with travel as required within assigned territory.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation Range

$28.85 - $31.25 USD
