What to know about this role

  • The hourly rate range for this position is: $34.00 to $37.00 based on experience.
  • The hours for this role are: Monday-Friday 11:00am-3:00pm CT with flexibility as event schedule permits
  • You’ll have a consistent and predictable schedule
  • We are a fully remote organization with team members across the country. Work from the comfort of your home, a local coffee shop, or wherever brings you joy! The impact of this role

As part of the Content Production team, you will be at the forefront of our virtual experience design, management, and execution! Within this role, you will manage the creation and execution of various AMA events and interact with key stakeholders across the industry. Our team works with the top minds in content creation, professional development, higher education, and many other industries. In this role, you will ensure a fantastic virtual event experience, identify new ways to improve production processes, and work collaboratively with internal and external planning teams. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

 

  • Pre-Event Production
    • Acting as production lead on various virtual events. 
    • Building the virtual event platform (we use Cvent and Zoom!) from start to finish and coordinating with project leads on timelines, content, and other deliverables for virtual events. 
    • Conducting rehearsals with speakers and reviewing the conference platform and logistics in advance of the live virtual event. Making recommendations on presentation flow and format best practices. 
    • Preparing unique registration pages and attendee experience pages within the virtual event platform (Cvent)  based on deliverables provided by internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborating with sponsor partners to create interactive virtual conference exhibit booths.
    • Cultivating relationships with our sponsor partners and speakers for long-term success. 
    • Writing event scripting and flow for distribution to key AMA stakeholders, speakers, and support staff, and aligning with other teams to identify key talking points to include in event scripting. 
    • Training volunteers and walking them through the event platform as needed to assist with event execution. 

 

  • Event Production
    • Executing various AMA online programs and virtual events as assigned in a timely, professional, and effective manner and following up as needed with internal and external stakeholders to adhere to project deadlines.
    • Setting up and moderating live training series, webinars, and virtual conferences, as well as monitoring the attendee experience on event day and interacting with attendees via chat and Q&A or the help desk. 
    • Troubleshooting any issues speakers or attendees have within the virtual event platform. 
    • Collaborating with other teams to ensure a smooth event experience for attendees, speakers, and sponsors. 

 

  • Post-Event Production
    • Creating metric reports for events and providing them to key stakeholders after each event, as needed, and completing other special projects and duties as assigned.
    • Focusing on continuous improvement of our events through data-driven insights.
    • Identifying new and interesting ways to utilize the event platform to add value to sponsor packages and speaker and attendee experiences. 
    • Identifying new and interesting ways to promote attendee engagement at virtual events. 

 

  • Other Duties
    • Uploading of asynchronous content to AMA’s learning management system (LMS) 
    • Working with external vendor partners 



What you bring to the table

  • Minimum of one year working within large-scale virtual event platforms (CVENT preferred, Zoom Webinar, 6Connex, ON24, etc.) required
  • At least one year of experience in an environment with multiple virtual events in process at the same time.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Asana or a similar project management platform
  • 2-4 years of work experience with a proven track record of completing projects on time and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You are an incredible team player who is willing to help anyone and can learn quickly, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • You are a positive, service-oriented steward of details.
  • You are excited and eager to learn new skills and platforms and to be regularly on-camera moderating virtual content. 
  • You are able to occasionally work outside of standard core working hours. 

 


What you may also have

  • Experience with webpage platforms such as WordPress. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. 
  • Experience with project management.
  • Customer service experience.

  • 30-minute phone interview with a member of AMA’s People and Culture team 
  • Virtual Interview with the hiring manager and key stakeholders you’ll be working closely with
