Job Duties:

 

  • Design, implement, and own complex backend systems end-to-end, including system architecture, integration points, performance optimization, and scalability across multiple services and data platforms. 

  • Design and operate large-scale data pipeline architectures and backend services using AWS technologies, including Lambda, DynamoDB, Redshift, Athena, Glue, and S3. 

  • Build and maintain backend APIs and distributed data workflows within a cloud-native architecture, with emphasis on modern development practices, including AI-assisted practices. 

  • Work across Node.js, Python, .NET, and SQL platforms to implement services and data pipelines that deliver actionable insights and support data-driven features. 

  • Translate product and business requirements into technical system designs, evaluate tradeoffs, communicate risks and constraints, and guide implementation across cross-functional teams. 

  • Implement AI-assisted development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and system-level productivity improvements.

  • Design and implement reusable AI-assisted workflows, tools, and shared prompt libraries to improve development efficiency and code quality, and integrate them into CI/CD and code review processes. 

  • Oversee technical output, delivery flow, and overall system-level effectiveness. 

  • Lead technical design and development, participate in design and code reviews, propose architecture improvements, and support ongoing system evolution. 

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and customer-facing teams to define scope, prioritize work, and deliver high-impact technical solutions. 

  • Mentor teammates in AI-assisted development practices and refine team processes to reduce bottlenecks. 

  • This is a fully remote position; telecommuting is permitted, and the employee may work from anywhere in the United States.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field; and 

  • Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation designing, developing, testing, and implementing software and machine learning solutions in production environments. 

  • This is a fully remote position; telecommuting is permitted, and the employee may work from anywhere in the United States. No relocation required.
