JOB DESCRIPTION

Teach English to Children in Japan!

Amity is a leading English conversation educator for children in Japan. Amity has been providing international teaching opportunities for more than four decades and currently operates over 90 branch schools throughout Japan. Amity is seeking enthusiastic and motivated professionals who enjoy working with children.

Successful candidates must have native English fluency, have the ability to work with a wide range of ages (student ages range from six months to 18 years old), possess good communication skills, be approachable, and be open-minded to cultural differences. The candidate must also be creative and have a willingness to learn Amity's teaching methods in addition to improving their own teaching skills. Teaching and/or business experience, as well as Japanese language ability is helpful, but not necessary. Teachers are expected to speak only English with the students at all times.  Candidates must have a BA/BS degree (all majors considered) and have completed all of their elementary and secondary education primarily in English. Initial contracts require a minimum 1 year commitment.

Amity offers a competitive salary, visa sponsorship, subsidized housing, subsidized corporate health insurance, and more. Teachers are also eligible for monthly bonuses which are dependent on student numbers and class load, as well as a contract completion bonus. Further financial incentives may also be available to qualifying domestic applicants for housing, commuting, and dependent support.

Amity hires year-round for open teaching positions at all of our branches.  Candidates are welcome to submit applications at any time.  Flexibility in branch location can greatly impact our ability to offer positions.

Candidates who do not submit the requested information or submit inaccurate information may not be considered.
