Job Summary

The Social Commerce Planning & Operations Intern will support the Social Commerce team with planning, reporting, inventory tracking, SAP system uploads, and day-to-day operational coordination across TikTok Shop and emerging social commerce channels. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to ecommerce operations, supply chain coordination, business reporting, and cross-functional execution.

The intern will assist with maintaining accurate trackers, preparing weekly and monthly reporting inputs, reconciling data across systems, supporting launch and promotional readiness, and helping the team identify risks or gaps that may impact inventory, fulfillment, or sales execution. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, planning discipline, analytical thinking, and Excel knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Principal Accountabilities

Inventory Management & Forecasting Support

  • Support weekly inventory tracking across TikTok Shop channels, warehouses, and fulfillment partners to help ensure product availability for launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels, sell-through, weeks of supply, stockout risk, overstock exposure, and replenishment needs across brands and key SKUs.
  • Support maintain inventory trackers and planning documents by gathering inputs from Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Operations, Brand, and agency partners.
  • Flag potential inventory risks, launch gaps, and reporting discrepancies to the manager for follow-up and resolution.

Shipping & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Assist with shipment tracking, inbound timing, delivery issue documentation, and operational follow-up with internal and external partners.
  • Support communication with warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, and internal operations teams to help ensure timely order processing and product availability.
  • Assist with shipping and fulfillment process documentation to improve accuracy, visibility, and launch readiness.

Financial & Administrative Support

  • Support weekly and monthly system uploads to SAP, ensuring data is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Perform data entry and reconciliation of reporting files, inventory trackers, shipment documents, invoice logs, and business planning records.
  • Assist with reviewing reports for accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and following up with internal teams to confirm or correct data inputs.

Ecommerce Account Management

  • Support day-to-day TikTok Shop account operations, including product setup, content updates, pricing checks, and promotional execution.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate product information, imagery, content, assortment details, and merchandising updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support coordination across Social Commerce, Brand, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and external partners by preparing updates, trackers, and follow-up notes.
  • Assist with promotional planning, product launches, and operational execution for key campaigns and sales moments.
  • Help track launch readiness items, including inventory, fulfillment, reporting, system uploads, and process alignment.

Key Experience and Skills

Qualification and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Analytics, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in ecommerce, operations, supply chain, retail, finance, analytics, or reporting preferred.
  • Interest in social commerce, TikTok Shop, beauty, consumer goods, ecommerce operations, or marketplace channels.
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, trackers, reports, and cross-functional communication in a fast-paced environment.

Skill Sets

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data entry, reporting, system uploads, and reconciliations.
  • Solid Excel knowledge required, including comfort working with formulas, formatting, filters, pivot tables, and large data sets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to review reports, identify discrepancies, summarize findings, and organize information clearly.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
