Social Commerce Affiliate Intern

Job Summary 

The Social Commerce Affiliate Intern will support the Social Commerce team in the day-to-day management and growth of the TikTok Shop affiliate creator community. This role is highly executional and creator-facing, with a focus on community communication, creator messaging, content brief review, product sample seeding, affiliate tracking, and recurring competitive reporting.

The intern will help keep a high-volume creator program organized and moving quickly by responding to creator questions, tracking outreach and sample status, reviewing creator briefs and content readiness, and surfacing trends and opportunities from TikTok Shop and the competitive landscape. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, digitally fluent, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a very fast-paced environment.

Principal Accountabilities

Affiliate Community Management & Creator Communication

  • Support day-to-day communication with TikTok Shop affiliate creators across community channels, direct messages, email, and other approved communication tools.
  • Respond to routine creator questions, share campaign updates, promotional opportunities, product information, and deadlines, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Help maintain an engaged creator community through consistent communication, follow-ups, recognition, challenges, incentives, and key campaign moments.
  • Maintain accurate creator lists and trackers, including outreach, participation, posting status, performance, and follow-up actions.

Creator Brief & Campaign Support

  • Support the preparation, review, and distribution of creator briefs for product launches, promotions, and TikTok Shop campaigns.
  • Review creator-facing messaging and brief materials for accuracy, clarity, brand alignment, product claims, and required campaign details.
  • Track creator deliverables and content status, follow up on open items, and flag blockers or opportunities to the Affiliate and Social Commerce teams.
  • Assist with creator activation for key sales moments, launches, and platform campaigns.

Sample Seeding Management

  • Support end-to-end TikTok Shop sample seeding, including creator qualification, sample requests, shipping coordination, delivery tracking, and posting follow-up.
  • Maintain sample seeding trackers and monitor sample acceptance, fulfillment, delivery, content posting, and conversion to active affiliates.
  • Coordinate with internal Operations, Supply Chain, and brand partners to help resolve inventory, shipment, or fulfillment issues.
  • Identify overdue samples or low posting activity and support creator follow-up to improve content output and seeding efficiency.

Competitive Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare a monthly TikTok Shop competitive report covering key beauty and skincare competitors, creator activity, affiliate strategies, product launches, promotions, content trends, and emerging best practices.
  • Monitor TikTok Shop, creator content, and competitor activity to identify trending products, creator formats, messaging themes, and new affiliate opportunities.
  • Pull and organize basic affiliate and creator performance data for recurring team reports, campaign recaps, and business reviews.
  • Summarize key takeaways and actionable insights for the Social Commerce team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Social Commerce, Brand, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, agencies, and external partners to support creator campaigns and sample execution.
  • Help maintain organized creator assets, briefs, trackers, shared folders, and campaign documentation.
  • Support special projects, creator events, product launches, and other Social Commerce priorities as assigned

Key Experience and Skills

Qualification and Experience

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Eommerce, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in TikTok, TikTok Shop, creator marketing, affiliate marketing, social commerce, beauty, skincare, or consumer brands.
  • Prior internship, coursework, campus organization, creator, retail, e-commerce, influencer, or social media experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using TikTok and social platforms to research creators, trends, products, and competitive activity.

Skill Sets

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and on-brand in creator-facing messages.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate creator, seeding, campaign, and reporting trackers.
  • Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable with filters, formulas, sorting, pivot tables, and organizing large data sets.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify creator, content, product, and competitive trends and turn them into concise insights.
  • Strong follow-through and time-management skills; able to manage high-volume communication, recurring deadlines, and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Comfortable learning new platforms and tools quickly, including TikTok Shop Seller Center, Affiliate Center, creator CRM tools, and reporting dashboards.
