Job Summary 

Responsible for planning and executing an omni-channel contact strategy to enhance customer retention that drives revenue and delivers on key brand objectives across new product launches, site promotions, DTC exclusive programs such as Loyalty and Subscription, and any other customer retention related initiatives.

This role will report to the Luxe E-commerce Manager and liaison with the CRM/Life Cycle strategy, brand marketing, and creative teams to execute D2C plans.

Principal Accountabilities 

  • Responsible for implementing SMS and Email marketing communication strategy, assisting in content calendar planning and managing end-to-end execution of all broadcast and triggered emails and SMS messaging within our Attentive and Ometria Databases.
  • Continuously plan & conduct A/B tests to understand trends and preferences within the email/SMS database, evaluating elements such as subject lines, hero images, design, content, timing, and messaging for different audience segments.
  • Create and analyze email/SMS segments to optimize targeting and engagement strategies and identify and develop new target segments initiatives using data analytics and market research.
  • Partner closely with the CRM Manager to define opportunities and new retention tactics and promotions within loyalty & subscription programs. Help brainstorm and propose retention strategies to enhance customer loyalty engagement and subscription retention.
  • Generate and analyze reporting to inform strategic decision-making and drive growth in the Email & SMS channel, monitor brand engagement metrics, and share key insights to optimize customer communication. Reports encompass Email & SMS Performance, A/B Test Performance, Loyalty and Subscription Metrics, and Post-mortem campaign analysis.
  • Coordinate and manage photoshoot briefings alongside MKTG & Creative teams (including sample & collateral delivery) to ensure promotional calendar content needs are met.  
  • Manage creative briefings for email & SMS requests alongside manager to ensure clear communication of objectives and requirements for successful execution.
  • Coordinate plans and asset deliveries with Manager, site merchandising, brand marketing and creative teams.
  • Continuously test and refine lead capture campaigns, sign-up units, landing pages, and onsite acquisition units to improve conversion rates and customer acquisition, while also managing all QR codes and teaser landing pages. 
  • Secondary point of contact for email marketing platform Ometria and SMS marketing platform Attentive.

Key Experience and Skills

Qualification and Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in ecommerce and/or email and retention marketing, preferably in the beauty or skincare industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, ecommerce, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms (preferably Shopify) or similar content management systems (CMS).
  • Knowledge in web/behavioral analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and experience with data analysis to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Excellent project/content management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Monday.com is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality work and maintaining brand standards.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Passion for beauty and skincare products, with a keen interest in staying updated on industry trends and consumer preferences.

Skill Sets

  • Shopify or similar CMS experience required
  • Klaviyo, Ometria, or similar ESP experience required, SMS platform experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of HTML / CSS
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
