SMB Fraud Product Manager

A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As the SMB Fraud Product Manager, you'll define key performance metrics, looking for any anomalies or emerging patterns in SMB fraud. You’ll speak to clients as a subject-matter expert. You'll prioritize the backlog, new features, and address any new critical issues. Your role is central to designing and refining fraud detection, so you’ll spend time analyzing data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify new fraud risks or areas where our systems can be enhanced. You'll collaborate with the Customer Success and Sales teams to understand the challenges they face with current fraud solutions and ensure that your product roadmap addresses these pain points. Furthermore, you’ll provide development teams with clear requirements for the problems they need to solve. You'll prepare and present updates to senior management, showcasing the impact of your initiatives.
Team: Will join a team of Product Managers and Technical Product Managers, who all specialize in owning different aspects of the platform.

Base Salary: $120,000 - $160,000

WHAT WE’LL TRUST YOU TO DELIVER:
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as Amount’s internal and client facing expert on both the general SMB fraud landscape, and clients’ individual portfolios
- Effective Fraud Prevention: Develop and manage fraud detection and mitigation strategies specifically tailored for small business lending
- Continuous Improvement: Use data and customer feedback to continuously refine and enhance Amount’s platform, staying ahead of emerging threats.
- User-Focused Solutions: Balance security with a positive user experience, ensuring that fraud prevention measures are robust yet non-intrusive.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales and customer success teams to deliver high-impact features on time and within budget.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with company objectives and the evolving needs of our customers.
WHAT YOU LIKELY BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Fraud Management Experience: Strong background in building fraud detection products and/or managing risk as a lender, with specific experience in addressing the unique challenges faced by SMBs.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, with a keen ability to identify fraud patterns and translate insights into actionable product features.
- Product Management Proficiency: Experience in leading product development from concept to launch, with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Collaborative Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a history of driving successful collaboration across diverse teams.
- Customer Empathy: Deep understanding of the SMB customer segment and the lenders that cater to them, with a commitment to building solutions that meet their specific needs while protecting them from fraud.
