Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Development Senior Associate to join our team in Chicago, IL. This is a truly unique opportunity for an investment banking or private equity professional to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Development, you will be a key contributor to our company's growth initiatives via organic growth, M&A and corporate strategy. You will have the chance to work closely with the CFO and CEO, gaining exposure to high-level decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- M&A, financing and tax credit transaction execution, ensuring thorough analysis and risk mitigation
- Structure and negotiate commercial relationships with business partners, leveraging your strong communication and negotiation skills
- Owner of asset and corporate level modeling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, operations, engineering, legal, and accounting, to achieve corporate objectives
- Support the CFO on all strategic finance initiatives
- Development of internal and board level presentations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration
Required Skills and Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (required)
- Master's Degree in Finance or Business Administration (preferred)
- Minimum of three (3) years of investment banking, private equity, or related finance experience (required)
- Exceptional quantitative data analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling and MS Office proficiency (required)
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously (required)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas (required)
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications
- Passion for alternative energy and renewable fuels
