Finance Operations Senior/Executive

Role Summary

As our Finance Operations Senior/ Executive, you will anchor day-to-day finance operations in Singapore – keeping our books tight, filings clean, and cash flowing as we scale. 

Responsibilities:

GST & Tax Compliance 

  • Manage Singapore GST end-to-end: classify transactions, maintain GST registers, prepare and e-file F5 returns, draft F7 adjustments, and manage GIRO arrangements. 

  • Handle reverse charge and import GST for overseas services and low-value imports; reconcile customs permits with the ledger. 

  • Coordinate with external corporate secretaries for ACRA filings and support tax agents with ECI and Form C-S/C submissions. 

Accounts Payable & Receivable 

  • Process vendor invoices, employee claims, and corporate credit card transactions in accordance with company policies. 

  • Execute weekly payment runs, perform three-way PO matching, and manage vendor registrations. 

  • Run AP aging reports, prepare payment request spreadsheets, and facilitate timely payment distribution. 

  • Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and vendor disputes. 

  • Chase receivables tactfully and maintain accurate AR records. 

Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting 

  • Support full-cycle month-end closing activities, including posting accruals/prepayments, maintaining the fixed asset register, and updating the general ledger. 

  • Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow schedules with clear variance analysis. 

  • Assist with prior period adjustments and account reconciliations. 

Banking & Treasury 

  • Set up payees, perform daily bank reconciliations, and monitor liquidity and FX exposures (SGD/USD). 

Systems & Process Management 

  • Serve as a power user for accounting, expense, and invoicing systems. 

  • Maintain process checklists (maker/checker), strengthen internal controls, and streamline workflows for speed and accuracy.  

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to align GRN and inventory movements with accounting records. 

  • Ensure landed cost accuracy and support SKU setups. 

Audit & Documentation 

  • Prepare lead schedules, respond to PBC requests, and remediate control gaps with practical SOPs. 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining the company’s Accounting Manual. 

  • Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting processes.  

Administrative & Corporate Secretarial Support 

  • Liaise with external corporate secretary to coordinate timely ACRA filings, including annual returns, board resolutions, and changes in company particulars. 

  • Maintain statutory registers and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 

  • Support and maintain internal documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes. 

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for administrative tasks related to finance and corporate governance. 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in finance operations/GL/APAR within Singapore; exposure to startups, hardware, or manufacturing would be highly advantageous 

  • Proven GST capability in Singapore: quarterly F5 preparation, input tax validation, error-correction (F7), reverse charge considerations, and audit-ready reconciliations 

  • Working knowledge of IRAS/ACRA processes: myTax Portal, BizFile+, CorpPass administration, ECI & corporate tax cycles, and basic Section 45 withholding obligations 

  • Systems fluency: hands-on with a cloud accounting platform plus strong Excel (pivots/lookups) for reconciliations and analysis 

  • Sound accounting fundamentals: revenue recognition basics, accruals/prepayments, fixed assets, and inventory/COGS concepts 

  • Operational rigor: meticulous with documentation, deadlines, and approvals; comfortable juggling recurring tasks with adhoc projects 

  • Business partnering mindset: clear communicator who can work with engineers, suppliers, and leadership across time zones 

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent; ISCA/ACCA progression is a plus 

Please note: This role requires working on-site 5 days a week. We do not offer hybrid or remote options.
