Supplier Industrialization Engineer

Responsibilities:

Lead the industrialization of new suppliers and products, ensuring a smooth transition from development to volume production.

Serve as the primary company representative at supplier sites, overseeing manufacturing and production activities while supporting our teams globally in driving our development & production goals.

Support and monitor all supplier quality initiatives to ensure compliance with company standards.

Collaborate with suppliers to implement and maintain quality testing procedures, ensuring components meet technical and performance requirements.

Act as the liaison between suppliers and cross-functional teams in Singapore and the U.S., facilitating material readiness, engineering design alignment, and seamless communication.

Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers and establish strategic partnerships to secure high-quality materials and components that meet production requirements

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure supplier readiness and alignment with technical specifications, cost targets, and production timelines.

Monitor and control material inventory levels at suppliers to support ramp-up schedules and reduce material shortages.

Analyze supplier capabilities, lead times, design for manufacturing support, and potential risks to develop mitigation strategies that prevent production disruptions.

Support and optimize logistics for new suppliers and products, including transportation planning and customs requirements.

Support the Supply Chain team in defining and monitoring KPIs such as supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality metrics, and ramp-up success to identify areas for process improvement.

Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to align supplier industrialization activities with overall business objectives and production forecasts.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field. A master's degree is preferred. Ideally someone with experience working on electrical power products.

8+ years' experience in a mix of engineering, program management & supply chain fields with evidence showing an exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Proven experience working in an organization focused on new technologies, the NPI process, and in a startup environment. Ideally someone that has experience developing supplier capabilities.

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes.

Demonstrated ability to work and lead cross functionally by managing teams / projects.

Exceptionally strong communication skills that demonstrate an ability to communicate visually, verbally, and in writing.

Experience working with engineering teams focused on electrical systems, power electronics, or other similar products in a manufacturing / production environment.

Ability to work well under pressure while simultaneously managing competing priorities, challenges, and risks. Effective response to adapting to competing priorities, risks, and program changes as needed and quickly.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% including internationally
