AMP is looking for a Materials Operations Supervisor for our new Commerce City, Colorado location to manage, develop, and expand relationships around the acquisition and sales of recyclable materials. This role will work closely with our facility operations, finance and business development teams. This role requires a deep interest in recycling, as well as flexibility and adaptability to the evolving needs of AMP programs, projects and organization. This position will require travel out to our Solon, Ohio facility until our Commerce City Facility is completed end early 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Materials Planning
- Interfaces with the Commercial team on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments
- Anticipate and forecast material demand
- Provide forecast to Commercial sourcing team on material demand by week
- Develop and distribute daily/weekly run schedule
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements and company financial goals
- Inventory Management
- Communicate with plant colleagues on inventories and anticipated production needs
- Ensure and capture inventory accuracy of downgraded and rejected material from suppliers, in process and post production
- Responsible for total inventory accuracy of 98%+ in value by incorporating a cycle count procedure
- Ensure material storage is in compliance with standards
- Logistics
- Oversee procedures for shipping, receiving and storing raw materials
- Organize and manage deliveries, advise shipment delays and/or information necessary to set up deliveries. Initiate traces with carriers for proof of deliveries when needed
- Resolve invoicing issues in cooperation with suppliers and accounts payable
- Establish procedures and supervise the annual physical inventory
- Supervise, evaluate and coach staff members
- Ensure that the company’s standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions
- Ensure all team members are trained and certified on tools, equipment and quality standards
- Leadership
- Coach members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that deliver results
- Develop team strengths and improve weaknesses
- Identify team goals and evaluate team progress
- Organize team meetings, topics of discussion and progress toward the goal
- General
- Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift
- Adheres to all company and regulatory safety standards and rules
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Participate in or lead continuous improvement of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of materials management operations

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree a plus
- APICS certification (e.g. CPIM) preferred
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in materials management in a manufacturing environment

Travel Requirements:
- Throughout 2025, this individual will be required to travel to our Solon, Ohio facility regularly for on-site training until the new Commerce City, CO facility is completed in early 2026. Following completion, travel will significantly decrease and occur only on an as-needed basis.

Salary & Compensation Information: $66,306 - $80,463 per year
Equity Grant: The candidate selected for this role will be recommended for a stock option grant commensurate with the position and the candidate’s qualifications.

- Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna medical healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents.
