AMP Robotics is hiring a Production Shift Lead to lead a production team while also operating machinery including but not limited to Balers, Forklifts, Wheel Loaders, and/or other equipment at ARC Material Testing Facility. Participates as an integral team member, gives input on equipment usage, operational processes, safety concerns, and other topics. 

As a Production Shift Lead, you will work to:

  • Lead the production floor by assigning personnel; accomplishing production goals; monitoring progress throughout a shift.
  • Maintain efficiency throughout the production process and record any possible issues
  • Resolve technical issues presented throughout a shift; investigate; identify a solution
  • Train personnel in regard to each specific duty on the floor.
  • Coordinate with Operations manager closely 
  • Resolve personnel problems working closely with the operations manager.
  • Performs preoperative and postoperative inspection of the equipment and reports any necessary repairs to supervisor and/or Maintenance Shop.
  • Safely and productively operates all equipment including forklift, wheel loader and/or baler, while monitoring area for pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
  • Continuously monitors the equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal downtime.
  • Continuously observes material being processed for signs of hazardous waste, fire, smoldering, etc.
  • Performs minor service and/or inspection on equipment.
  • Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.
  • Adheres to all company, and regulatory safety standards and rules
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have:

Required:

  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification
  • One (1) or more years of experience leading a team operating same or similar machinery
  • Two (2) or more years of experience operating same or similar machinery

Preferred: 

  • Five (5) plus years' experience as a certified equipment operator.

  • The ability to stand, climb, bend, twist, and lift equipment and tools.
  • The ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Overtime and call-in work may be required.

The following physical activities or abilities are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position.  The actual requirements of this position will vary.

  • Maintain balance on slippery surfaces.
  • Lift, carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand for up to eight hours per day.
  • The ability to stand, climb, bend, twist, and lift materials or tools as needed

  • Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, dust mask, ear plugs, gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, and safety vest.
  • Machines including, but not limited to, forklift, baler, wheel loader
  • Tools including, but not limited to, broom, shovel, tire gauge, water hoses, screwdriver, wrenches and other hand tools.   

ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Potential Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Work environment; includes machines, tools, trucks, dust, fumes and odors.
  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
