AMP is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join our team for Summer 2026, starting June 1st, 2026 - August 21st, 2026.
This 12-week internship offers hands-on experience supporting the supply chain that enables AMP’s AI-powered recycling systems—from supplier sourcing and component procurement to materials planning for manufacturing and field deployments. Interns will work cross functionally with teams to support sourcing strategies, supplier coordination, analytics, and execution. This role provides exposure to a fast-growing, mission-driven hardware and technology company operating at the intersection of robotics, manufacturing, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Support supplier sourcing activities, including preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs) for mechanical, electrical, and industrial components
- Assist with supplier onboarding, qualification, and data maintenance, including obsolescence tracking and compliance documentation
- Prepare supplier and commodity profiles for internal reviews and decision-making
- Perform part and spend analytics to ensure components are correctly categorized and aligned to sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with suppliers on cost reduction, lead-time improvement, and supply continuity initiatives
- Support Commodity Managers with meeting preparation, presentations, quarterly business reviews, and supplier performance tracking
- Perform core buyer and materials planning functions, including creating,rescheduling, and cancelling purchase orders based on MRP signals
- Communicate with suppliers to track material status, expedite critical components, and resolve delivery issues
- Help resolve invoice, receipt, and purchase order discrepancies in coordination with Finance and Accounts Payable
- Identify alternate or emergency supply sources to mitigate production or deployment risk
- Provide material availability updates to manufacturing, operations, and cross- functional stakeholders
- Support efforts to reduce excess and obsolete inventory through analysis and supplier negotiations
- Conduct MRP, inventory, and spend analytics to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Strong academic standing, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in manufacturing, hardware, robotics, or industrial systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Data and analytics proficiency, including advanced Excel and working with multiple data sets
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality, reliability, and customer impact
- Desire to learn, improve, and contribute in a results-driven, mission-oriented culture
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a scaling organization

Hourly Rate Information: $25-$35 per hour
