Role Description

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead product execution for our MES product line, including production scheduling and production reporting solutions. This role will work closely with engineering, UX, and customers to ensure our products deliver measurable operational value for manufacturers.

The Product Owner will be responsible for translating product strategy into actionable development work. This individual will own the product backlog, prioritize features based on customer value and business impact, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality MES capabilities.

The ideal candidate understands manufacturing operations, MES systems, and agile product development, and is comfortable working with both technical teams and manufacturing customers

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Product Ownership

 

• Own and manage the product backlog for the MES scheduling and production reporting products.

· Define and prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer needs, product strategy, and business goals.

· Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.

· Ensure backlog items are ready for sprint planning and development.

Customer & Market Insight

· Engage with customers to understand manufacturing workflows, operational challenges, and product opportunities.

· Gather and analyze feedback from customers, support, sales, and implementation teams.

· Translate manufacturing requirements into scalable product capabilities.

Agile Development Collaboration

· Work closely with engineering, QA, UX, and architecture teams during sprint planning, development, and release cycles.

· Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

· Clarify requirements and ensure development teams understand the desired product outcomes.

Product Delivery

· Validate that delivered functionality meets acceptance criteria and business objectives.

· Support product releases including documentation, training, and internal enablement.

· Collaborate with product management and leadership on roadmap execution.

 

 

Cross-Functional Coordination

· Work with implementation, support, and sales teams to ensure product features align with customer needs.

· Provide product expertise for internal stakeholders.

· Help drive continuous improvement of MES capabilities.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5+ years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in a software environment.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments.
• Strong experience managing product backlogs and writing user stories.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical product specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Knowledge of production scheduling, shop floor operations, or manufacturing analytics.
• Experience with ERP integrations and manufacturing workflows.
• Background working with industrial, manufacturing, or supply chain software.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management systems.
