Role Description
Amtech is seeking a Technical Consultant to join the Professional Services team and support the successful implementation and delivery of Amtech solutions to customers.
This role requires strong technical expertise in software implementation, cloud or on-premise deployments, data migration, and systems integration. The Technical Consultant will collaborate closely with project teams and customer IT personnel to deploy solutions, ensure seamless integration, and guide customers in administering Amtech systems.
Team members should be comfortable working remotely with customers across multiple geographies and may need to adjust schedules to meet project requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementation & Deployment
- Lead and support implementation activities for Amtech solutions in cloud or on-premise environments.
- Install and configure Amtech applications, APIs, and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform system upgrades and environment enhancements for existing customer deployments.
Data Migration & Integration
- Support data transformation and migration from customer legacy systems to Amtech platforms.
- Configure and map EDI transactions including common formats such as EDI 856 (ASN), EDI 810 (Invoice), and EDI 850 (Purchase Order).
- Collaborate with customer IT teams and third-party vendors to implement integrations and ensure seamless data exchange.
Customer Enablement & Support
- Deliver technical training to customer teams to enable effective system administration post-implementation.
- Support go-live activities, including database migration and integration validation.
- Assist internal teams such as Customer Support with complex technical troubleshooting.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to organizational initiatives including sales cycle support, practice development, and process improvements.
- Mentor junior Professional Services team members to strengthen technical expertise across the team.
- Ensure solutions meet Amtech’s quality standards and customer expectations through rigorous testing and validation.
- Participate in discussions with prospective customers to understand technical requirements and demonstrate solution capabilities.
Performance & Utilization
- Maintain an average billable utilization rate of 70% or higher.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in ERP implementation, software development lifecycle (SDLC), or enterprise software deployment.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of web application servers (e.g., IIS, Apache) and web application configuration.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, .NET, or HTML.
- Report Development skills using some of the standard market software like Power BI, SSRS etc.
- Expertise in EDI standards (X12) and mapping tools.
- Understanding of security best practices for cloud and on-premise deployments.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities for complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing project requirements.
Tools & Platforms
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Salesforce, and Certinia (FinancialForce).
- Standard Report Development Tools
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when required for project delivery or customer support.
