Amtech is hiring an experienced Application Support Analyst to support our MES product suite.

Initial focus will be Axiom (primary) and Advanced Planning Board (APB). After foundational

competency is established, responsibilities will expand to additional MES products.

These systems power real-time corrugator and converting operations across manufacturing plants.

Axiom downtime can directly impact live production.

This role is part of Amtech’s global follow-the-sun support strategy and is foundational to expanding

toward near 24/7 global coverage.

 

Global Coverage & Collaboration Expectations

 

• Support customers across multiple time zones

• Handle new cases during U.S. off-hours

• Accept structured handoffs from U.S. support

• Provide documented shift transitions

• Work independently during off-hours

• Escalate appropriately when required

• Reduce backlog during lower-volume periods

• Attend occasional U.S.-scheduled meetings

 

 

• Own and resolve escalated MES cases end-to-end

• Prioritize based on production and business impact

• Troubleshoot Axiom, APB, and MES workflows

• Use SQL for validation and root cause investigation

• Support Microsoft SQL Server environments

• Troubleshoot Windows Server-hosted applications

• Replicate issues and document detailed reproduction steps

• Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies (Crystal/BIRT valued)

• Distinguish configuration issues from true product defects

 

 

• 4+ years supporting enterprise software (L2/L3)

• Experience supporting MES or ERP systems in manufacturing

• Strong SQL skills (queries, joins, data validation)

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience with Windows Server-hosted enterprise applications

• Familiarity with logs, services, integrations, and job schedulers

• Strong written English communication skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours for global coverage

 

• Crystal Reports or BIRT report writing

• Corrugated or folding carton manufacturing experience

• Production scheduling systems experience

• Shop-floor execution systems experience

• Understanding of scheduling logic, machine constraints, inventory, scrap, and production reporting

Formal Packaging Education (Strongly Preferred)

 

• Indian Institute of Packaging (Mumbai or Bengaluru)

• SIES School of Packaging (Mumbai)

• ASC Centre & College (Bengaluru)

• Other recognized packaging programs in India

Formal packaging education will be considered a significant advantage.
