Role Description

Amtech Software is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Manager of PMO to drive operational excellence across our Product and Technology organizations. This role will be responsible for establishing, standardizing, and continuously improving processes, governance, and performance measurement frameworks that enable scalable, predictable delivery.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of program management, operational leadership, and data-driven decision-making, with the ability to partner closely with Product, Engineering, and executive leadership to align strategy with execution.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

PMO Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and implement a modern PMO vision aligned with Amtech’s product strategy and growth objectives
  • Establish governance models that balance agility with accountability
  • Serve as a trusted partner to Product and Engineering leadership on execution strategy

Process Standardization & Optimization

  • Implement, and scale standardized delivery frameworks (Agile, hybrid, or scaled models as appropriate)
  • Create consistent processes for:
    • Roadmap planning and prioritization
    • Quarterly / PI planning
    • Cross-functional program execution
  • Continuously assess and improve workflows to increase predictability, efficiency, and quality

Program & Portfolio Management

  • Oversee execution of strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs
  • Implement portfolio management practices to ensure alignment with business priorities
  • Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks across teams

Measurement & Reporting

  • Define and operationalize KPIs  across Product and Engineering teams
  • Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into:
    • Delivery predictability
    • Throughput and cycle time
    • Product outcomes and business impact
  • Enable data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization

Tooling & Systems

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize tools (e.g., Jira, Jellyfish, roadmapping and analytics platforms)
  • Ensure consistent usage and data integrity across teams
  • Drive automation and reporting efficiency

Organizational Enablement

  • Advise teams and leaders on best practices in program management and execution
  • Build a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in program management, PMO leadership, or operations in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and/or scaled frameworks (e.g., SAFe)
  • Demonstrated ability to implement metrics-driven performance systems
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering organizations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience partnering with Engineering leadership to improve end-to-end software delivery across planning, execution, release, and post-release learning
  • Demonstrated ability to define and operationalize metrics across delivery predictability, engineering quality, reliability, and team effectiveness
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to engage credibly on SDLC, architecture dependencies, release management, and engineering workflow improvements

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, ERP, or supply chain software
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS and on-prem product development lifecycles
  • Experience integrating product analytics and business KPIs into delivery metrics
  • Experience preparing materials for Board of Directors and executive staff meetings, including portfolio updates, investment tradeoffs, and delivery/risk narratives
  • Prior engineering, technical program management, or other hands-on technical background
