THE OPPORTUNITY

The Head, HR Information Systems will oversee the company’s strategic utilization of the HR Information System, currently Sage Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and all other HR systems. Is the subject matter expert of the company’s HR information systems, including but not limited to security administration, business process design, compensation setup, benefits administration, end user experience, reporting and analytics. This position ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place within the HRIS to support the administrators of compensation programs, annual performance reviews, benefits administration and open enrollment, payroll, and reporting efforts.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, security and integrity.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital stakeholders (Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Organization Development, and Human Resources Business Partners) to understand their business needs and define system requirements, configurations and workflows to meet the needs of HR and the business.
  • Lead the implementation of new HRIS modules, features and enhancements.
  • Manage system upgrades, testing and integration with other software applications.  Regularly audit and clean HR data to maintain a reliable database.
  • Provide ongoing design guidance, ensuring the full potential and capability in the configuration of our current HRIS, Sage and other HR systems that adheres to best practices, maximizing the Team Member experience and provides accurate employee data.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap that optimizes our HR systems and aligns with the organizational Human Capital and business objectives, ensuring the systems support current and future needs.
  • Drives the strategy and execution of utilization of the current Sage HRMS for the Human Capital function considering scalability, performance, and security aspects.
  • Overseeing data management processes within Sage HRMS, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Streamline HR processes by identifying automation opportunities within the HRIS.
  • Design and generate HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leading change management initiatives to drive user adoption and maximize the benefits of the system.
  • Provide training to HR team and employees on HRIS functionality and best practices.
  • Implement and enforce data security protocols, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Monitory access controls and permissions to safeguard sensitive HR information.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in human resources management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience as an HRIS Manager, HRIS Administrator or similar role with 5 years leading and optimizing the Sage HRMS.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Sage, Workday, SAP, Oracle), with the ability to configure and customize system settings.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, generate reports, and make informed recommendations.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead system implementations and upgrades and experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze issues and problems systematically, gathering broad and balanced input, drawing sound conclusions, and providing actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Greenhouse experience a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

WORK LOCATION AND CONDITIONS

  • This is a remote friendly role, but you must reside and work within the United States, and in a state where Amylyx currently does business, to be considered. Any change in your remote location must be approved by Amylyx
  • You will be required to follow Amylyx’s Remote Work Policy which includes:  
    • traveling to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year and attending other company-related events as necessary and requested, which may include travel by air, driving, or public transportation.
    • working in a setting that meets all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to communicate via video conference, etc.) at your remote location
    • Information security protocols and steps to maintain confidentiality of Amylyx information, technology, and materials.
