About the role

This position is contingent on contract award.
Up to 50% International Travel Required

Analyst1 is an industry-leading cybersecurity solution provider that provides an advanced threat intelligence platform with air-gapped and classified data processing. Automated data ingestion and investigations transform security operations through superior threat analysis that also analyzes the effectiveness of countermeasures in a single platform.

As the Technical Lead, you will bring that platform to an international government customer, modernizing its cyber threat intelligence (CTI) program by enhancing and integrating the tools its analysts already rely on. You will own the technical delivery of an international government customer’s cyber threat intelligence (CTI) program: enhancing the customer’s existing MISP environment, integrating it with their existing security tools, adding complementary functionality, and ensuring effective use of their existing data sources. You will spend your days guiding the solution from requirements through deployment and transition into operations, keeping it secure, performant, and integrated with the customer’s environment, so that Analyst1 becomes an essential part of how the customer executes its security mission.

You will be named as Technical Lead in our proposal and will lead the program’s Customer Success Manager and Customer Support Engineer, who report directly to you.

What you’ll do

  • Gain a complete understanding of Analyst1’s role in the customer’s ideal and current operations.
  • Represent our technical approach in discussions with the customer during proposal evaluation.
  • Own analysis and requirements management for the solution.
  • Own the solution’s architecture and design.
  • Lead implementation and integration with the customer’s existing security tools.
  • Lead deployment to the customer’s test and production environments.
  • Lead the transition of the solution into operations.
  • Own the solution’s security, safety, and performance.
  • Manage third-party components and follow-on enhancements.
  • Understand the daily workings of the customer’s cyber teams (and the organizational complexities of many teams using Analyst1 together).
  • Lead the program’s Customer Success Manager and Support Specialist.
  • Provide product feedback to the product team based on customer experiences.

 What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience with MISP technologies.
  • Active DoD Secret or NATO Secret security clearance, or higher.
  • Commitment to remain in the role for at least the first 12 months of the program.
  • Experience with cyber intelligence, cyber automation, or cyber defense roles & industry.
  • Strong technical background and ability to speak to engineers and end users as a former “person in the chair” in one or more cyber analyst roles, such as CTI, SOC, Threat Hunting, VM, or others.
  • Strong troubleshooting, presentation, and consultative skills.
  • Comfortable speaking technically with analysts and strategically with senior executives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including communicating directly with clients.
  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to travel to The Hague, Netherlands, as required (up to 50% of the time).
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours when working remotely.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience producing or using cyber threat intelligence.
  • Experience working with and/or configuring SIEM/Log Manager tools (e.g. Splunk, Elastic).
  • Experience authoring signatures (aka rules/alerts) to aid in malicious activity detection (including but not limited to SNORT, YARA, SURICATA).
  • Experience supporting SOC operations.
  • Background as government civilian or contractor.
