As an Executive or Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting federal agency leaders and/or executive teams by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, managing schedules, coordinating logistics, and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our organization.
Most Executive Assistant and Administrative Assistant roles are in the greater Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. area and require on-site work five days a week.
General Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to federal agency executives and departments, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel.
- Prepare, proofread, and format documents, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Support internal communications, facilitate team coordination, and track project timelines or deliverables as needed.
- Manage office operations, including ordering supplies, organizing files, and supporting visitors.
- Serve as a liaison between departments and external partners or stakeholders.
- Assist with event planning, meeting preparation, and follow-up activities.
- Other duties as assigned
General Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative or executive support role, preferably supporting senior-level leadership.
- Active Security Clearance – Generally Secret or Top-Secret clearance with SCI required at date of hire
- Experience managing multiple calendars and schedules in a dynamic environment
- Expert level knowledge and execution of the English language for the formulation of all DoD correspondence mediums, (e.g., email and memos)
- Demonstrated experience supporting in an OSD/Joint Staff/Interagency environment
- Knowledge of the structure and missions of the OSD and the Components
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- High level or organization, self-starter capable of performing tasks without need for constant oversight
- Prior experience and capable to work in a fast-paced team environment, adapt to rapidly changing requirements, and multi-task capabilities
