- Perform vulnerability scans, analyze results, and assist with mitigation planning.
- Monitor security tools and logs to identify potential threats or anomalous activity.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure cybersecurity is embedded throughout the system lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and security assessment reports.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and readiness reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, ideally supporting DoD or federal government programs.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-53, RMF, FISMA, or DoD cybersecurity policy.
- Experience with or understanding of cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, or endpoint protection platforms.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CAP are a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
