Workflow Action Officer

Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Program Analyst to support the Chief of Staff for the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (IBP). This role supports a high-visibility mission focused on strengthening the Department of Defense’s ability to address industrial base challenges and advance the National Security Innovation Base.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee workflow of taskings, assignments, and deliverables to ensure timely and effective execution for senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Maintain and manage a task tracking system to prioritize and monitor all program actions
- Author, refine, edit, and track high-visibility products, including leadership read-aheads, communications materials, congressional deliverables, project approvals, and interagency responses (e.g., GAO audits)
- Work under tight timelines with limited information to produce clear, accurate, and impactful communication products
- Coordinate with leadership and operations staff to ensure alignment on priorities and availability of required resources
- Enforce quality and process standards across a geographically dispersed, virtual workforce
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support strategic communications, outreach efforts, and program execution activities as required
- Conduct site visits and assist with coordination of industrial base analysis efforts
Required Qualifications
- Active SECRET clearance (minimum requirement)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience (commensurate experience, including extensive military service in a relevant specialty, may be considered in lieu of degree requirements)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively—both written and verbal—with senior executive leadership in government and industry
- Proven ability to produce and manage high-visibility documentation with accuracy, attention to detail, and alignment to organizational messaging
- Experience working in fast-paced, team-oriented environments with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, interagency organizations, or corporate executive leadership
- Familiarity with the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS)
- Knowledge of the structure and missions of the Office of the Secretary of Defense
- General understanding of DoD acquisition processes and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)
