Anaplan seeks an exceptional Product Manager to join our Sales Performance Management (SPM) Application team. The ideal candidate will work in autonomous Scrum teams emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and transparency. We are serious about attracting top talent. The Sales Performance Management (SPM) Application team delivers Anaplan out-of-the-box and configurable Applications in the following domains: Sales Planning(Territory and Quota Planning, Account Segmentation, and Capacity Planning), Sales Forecasting, and Incentive Compensation Management(ICM).

Your Impact

  • Understand and implement team goals and strategy, ensuring alignment with circle and value stream vision; Articulate team goals and strategy effectively to key stakeholders, leads, and team members. 
  • Product Backlog Management: Effectively manage a backlog of deliverables and capabilities as well as 'test and learn'/experimentation targeted at defining/refining future deliverables, measuring performance, and adjusting the overall roadmap of deliverables as needed. 
  • User Story Creation: Break down high-level requirements into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring that development teams have a comprehensive understanding of the desired functionality. Focus on achieving defined outcomes rather than defining how the work is completed. 
  • Prioritization and Release Planning: Collaborate with the development team to prioritize user stories for each sprint and participate in release planning to set the overall direction for the product. 
  • Act as the voice of the end-user; have a deep understanding of and respond to customer feedback, ensuring needs and requirements are clearly defined; ensure teamwork product meets defined acceptance criteria. 
  • Continuous Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with the development team, stakeholders, and other relevant parties, providing updates on progress, challenges, and priority changes. 
  • Inform and participate in business readiness; understand the impact of change; implement the approach to manage adoption and mitigate resistance. 
  • Feedback Gathering: Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and contribute to removing roadblocks or impediments. Look for opportunities for continuous team and process improvement. 
  • Onboarding: Contribute to external-facing onboarding sessions to communicate the vision, scope, and Business Process of the Application

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Often in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree (optional but preferred): An MBA in a relevant field can be advantageous.
  • Product Management Experience: Typically, 3-5 years of experience in product management or a related role.
  • Software Development Experience: Experience in Anaplan Application development or working closely with development teams is highly valuable.
  • Experience with Anaplan: Hands-on experience with Anaplan, including model building and using the platform, is often required or highly preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in Sales Planning Applications such as Territory and Quota Planning, Sales Forecasting, Incentive compensation management
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of Anaplan Model Building
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage projects, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate product features and benefits to stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product vision.
  • Customer Focus: Strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into product requirements.
  • Market Research: Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and business acumen to align the product with company goals.
  • Certified Anaplan Model Builder is preferred: Certification in Anaplan can demonstrate expertise in using the platform.
  • Product Management Certifications is preferred: Certifications from recognized institutions like Pragmatic Institute, AIPMM, or PMI.
  • Agile/Scrum: Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is often required as many software development teams use these frameworks.
  • Product Management Tools: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other product management software.
  • Detail-oriented: Attention to detail to ensure high-quality product deliverables.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Innovative Thinking: Creativity and innovation in product development.

Base Salary Range:

$132,000 - $179,000 USD
