Application Specialist – Finance Applications

As an Application Specialist within Anaplan’s Finance Center of Excellence you will be at the forefront of this transformation, helping customers realize the full potential of Anaplan's Finance Applications. This is a unique opportunity for a leader with deep Finance solution and process expertise, compelling experience, and exceptional collaboration skills to shape the future of our Finance Applications.

This role combines deep product knowledge and outstanding demonstration skills, process expertise, consultative selling, architectural guidance, and ecosystem enablement to craft solutions that address key customer challenges while scaling knowledge across the broader Anaplan ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Anaplan’s Product Management, Sales, customer Success, and GTM Enablement Teams to ensure seamless integration of Finance Applications into Anaplan’s GTM motion by:
    • Creating compelling conceptual demos and all supporting content including training, guides, play books to empower partners and internal teams. Drive ecosystem enablement by developing scalable knowledge-sharing initiatives.
    • Ensure Finance Applications demos and content are clearly aligned with customer requirements.
  • Serve as a process and architectural expert, guiding customers on best practices for Finance Applications, and Anaplan’s Connected Planning vision. Deliver actionable feedback from the field to the Product Team to improve our applications.
  • Support key and late-stage sales opportunities with consultative expertise to ensure alignment between solutions and customer business objectives, including process discovery and solution mapping, visionary and deep dive demos, and proof of value presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Customer Success, Professional Services) to ensure seamless integration of Finance Applications into Anaplan’s GTM motion.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers and partners, driving strategic engagements that enhance adoption and satisfaction of Anaplan’s Workforce Applications.
  • Present Anaplan’s Finance Applications vision and demonstrate the solutions at key internal and external events.

Key Metrics

  • Adoption and successful completion of enablement by Anaplan Teams.
  • Number of presentations, demonstrations and other supporting activities of Finance Applications.
  • Value of sales of Finance Applications.
  • Evaluation and feedback from Sales, Solution Consulting and GTM Enablement.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Anaplan’s platform and its application to solve complex business challenges.
  • Deep expertise in financial planning and analysis, the market of Finance performance management, planning and reporting solutions, required processes and best practices, and the key stakeholders and decision-makers – ideally including experience with Financial Close, Consolidation and Reporting.
  • Understanding of product management, GTM operations and enablement.
  • Proven experience in consultative selling or strategic advisory roles, preferably within SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and knowledge-sharing skills, with a demonstrated ability in presenting compelling content, performing product demonstrations, leading workshops, and developing enablement programs.
  • A results-driven mindset, able to collaborate across teams, with a focus on contributing deliverables of the highest possible quality and impact.
