We are looking for a Financial Services Go-to-Market (GTM) Leader to join one of the fastest growing cloud vendors and make your mark on the industry. You will take your proven track record of developing and executing industry go-to-market strategies and work with our team to verticalize Anaplan’s solutions for the financial services sector with a focus on Capital Markets and Banking—retail and commercial banks, credit unions and diversified financial institutions. In this role you will help people and companies around the world every day to make better informed plans and decisions.

  • A seasoned business and growth leader, this individual will thrive in partnership with senior leaders across Product, Marketing, Field Sales, Architecture, Partner, and the broader Industry & Solutions team. This role is about setting and executing bold bets across industries, aligning the company against them, and driving elite execution in Pipeline Generation and Net New ACV growth.
  • A typical day involves leading senior executive workshops with strategic customers; partnering with verticalized sales leaders to analyze global industry trends and drive action plans; coaching and developing your GTM team; building breakthrough partnerships with SIs, MSPs, and advisory firms; and holding cross-functional team meetings to keep extended teams aligned.
  • You will join a team of individuals who embrace and respect diverse perspectives, aren’t afraid to push boundaries and try new ideas, and are passionate about helping our customers and each other succeed. We work hard, but we also don’t wait for an excuse to have fun.
  • Reporting to our Area Vice President (AVP) leader of the Financial Services industry team, this role serves as the main point of contact for our financial services account teams focused on banking. You will closely align with sales, marketing, product, customer success and implementation partners to seed and develop strategic opportunities, connect with senior and C-suite stakeholders, and take our messaging, communications and experience to the next level with an industry-based lens. The banking leader will build trusted relationships with customer and partner executives and be a significant contributor to our revenue growth across banking accounts in North America and beyond.

Your Impact:

  • Operate as the industry expert for banking by introducing and educating executives and senior leaders from retail and commercial banks, credit unions and diversified financial institutions to Anaplan at industry conferences, executive business reviews and other customer facing engagements, leading to new pipeline creation.
  • Partner with account executives and their teams to progress pipeline within banking accounts by infusing banking domain expertise into account strategies, forming relationships with key stakeholders across lines of business (consumer banking, commercial lending, risk, finance and operations), and helping shorten sales cycles by highlighting business value and competitive differentiators.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consulting firms, system integrators and other partners serving the banking sector to drive awareness, solution positioning, enablement and customer development, with a focus on accelerating customer focused pipeline priorities.
  • Identify new buying centers and use cases within banking organizations—such as financial planning and analysis, loan origination, risk management, regulatory compliance and branch operations—that would benefit from Anaplan; partner with marketing to design and build solutions that our sales organization can bring to clients that generate real value and enable them to transform their businesses.
  • Analyze the Anaplan banking business to understand trends, opportunities, needs and KPI impact; use data to feed customer efforts, influence behaviors and drive results across targeted accounts.
  • Support account teams by brainstorming go-to-market strategies, presenting at banking industry and customer events as a subject matter expert, participating in C-suite engagement opportunities with clients, working with industry leaders and account teams on specific customers and meeting regularly with partner industry leaders to drive future pipeline.

Your Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in financial services with a focus on banking, including proven success in guiding strategy, operations and day to day functions within retail or commercial banks, credit unions or diversified financial institutions.
  • 5+ years in an IT or technology function in a banking organization.
  • 5+ years at an enterprise software company focused on banking accounts as a subject matter expert or in a business development, business consulting or solution consulting capacity, or 5+ years at a top-tier consulting firm designing and driving transformational change for banking clients.
  • Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision making or problem solving, including using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights or exploring AI’s potential impact on financial services.
  • Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills, both in person and via virtual platforms (including C-level engagements).
  • Ability to develop trusted advisor relationships with customers and sales organizations and influence senior leaders, multiple teams and departments on strategy, messaging and customer engagement within complex financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce thought leadership content and communications for an international audience.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and able to prioritize independently in a dynamic, high growth environment.
  • Agile business mind with the ability to work in a matrix organization with a highly distributed team, leading through influence and relationship building.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
